Description of the Muskegon vacation cottage rental

This property is a private getaway right around the bend from Lake Michigan. It offers two bedrooms and one full bath. The master bedroom has one queen size bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a television. There is additional space for sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room. All of the linens are provided. If you stay longer than one week, all linens and towels will be washed and replaced for you weekly. The full size kitchen area is fantastic for cooking. The snackbar offers additional seating to the adjoining dining room. We also offer a highchair on site. A washer and dryer are available for use in the basement laundry area. Enjoy cooking on the grill out back on the deck. Connected to the deck is a lovely screened in porch where the entire family can relax. We look forward to your visit and know you will truly enjoy your stay!

Area Information

This property sits between beautiful Lake Michigan and the Marina. Lake Michigan is just a short 5 minute walk around the bend. There is an ice cream shop and play equipment right on the beach for the family. On Muskegon Lake, which is also around the corner, there are many interesting shops including Lakeside Emporium where they make much of their own candy and fudge. There are volleyball nets available for use and plenty of space to just lounge in the sun! The Lakes Mall is a wonderful place to do some shopping and is only 15 minutes away. Heritage Landing is located in downtown Muskegon. This hosts a wide variety of events all summer long. If you enjoy motorcycles, there is a new Harley Davidson shop right downtown. Bike week is hosted at Heritage landing at the end of July. Michigan Adventure is an exciting amusement/water park located only 30 minutes away. We can also get you an itinerary of what is happening in Muskegon during your planned visit. There is a winery in downtown Muskegon called Clay Avenue Cellars if you enjoy wine tasting. There is also a great cheese shop if you would like to explore new flavors. The shop is called The Cheese Lady and has an endless selection of cheese and a variety of wine. There is an amazing new brewery, Oddside Ales, with very unique beers available. This is located in Grand Haven, about 25 minutes away. All three businesses have websites, please check them out! There is a large binder in the home featuring many of the places you and your family may enjoy visiting. It will also help direct you to the best places for groceries, shopping, dining, etc. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Wonderful Home

We had a wonderful time at this home. We are a family of 6, 2 adults, 3 boys (7,8,9) and 1 girl (12) and we were all able to find our own privacy in this home. This is the first vacation we have attempted as a family and the children didn't want to leave. It has a wonderful porch, a side room, living room and 2 bedrooms all of the children loved having their own space to play in. Our girl got to sleep in the computer room and loved it, it has doors that close so she had her privacy. The lake is very close and we enjoyed being able to just take a short drive back and forth whenever we wanted.This is truly a home away from home.

Family Fun

Good location, just down the road from the beach. House had pretty much everything we needed, from pots and pans in the kitchen to bed linens and beach towels. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the local ice cream stop, Frosty Cove, and several playgrounds nearby. Great vacation for our family of five, which includes children from 2 1/2 to 5 years old. Would love to go again.

Lovely home with many amenities. Picturesque setting between Lakes Muskegon and Michigan. Well stocked kitchen, grills and fire pit. Bikes and beach chairs provided. Everything a family needs for a fabulous vacation.

Hilltop Heaven!

We stayed here for a small girls' trip in July 2011 and this home was perfect!! The kitchen was well-equipped and accommodated three cooks at a time (with one of us using the grill). The living areas were roomy with comfortable furniture as well. What our group enjoyed most about the house was the awesome screened in porch! When we were done with our day at Pere Marquette and Hoffmaster State Park after dinner we retreated to the screened in porch which was also set up like another living room! The bedrooms were cozy and restful. We all got terrific sleeps! Most of all this rental house feels like a home. You can tell the owner wants to treat her guests well so that they may relax on their vacation. It is so nice to have linens and towels provided plus a kitchen that has everything! Owner easy to deal with and extremely communicative. Great vacation rental!!! Thanks for a wonderful three days!!!
