Description of the Muskegon vacation home rental

Lake Michigan home, aka Sancheron LLC, a unique 3-story, 3-bedroom, 2 bath vacation rental overlooking Lake Michigan at Pere Marquette Beach. The beach is on a small peninsula that lies between Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake. Enjoy watching large ships, wind surfers, recreational boats and beautiful sunsets all from the top deck.

Two bedrooms are on the second floor and can accommodate up to four (4) people. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has two twin beds. A bath with shower is on the second floor along with a reading/sitting room with a love seat sleeper sofa.

The top floor has a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath (tub/shower.) A fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room with sleeper sofa is also located on the top floor.

The 2nd and 3rd floors have numerous large windows and three spacious decks; 3rd floor rear deck has a gas grill and 2 picnic tables. Several deck chairs are available for lounging.

A washer/dryer cubicle is located on the first floor. Also a garage and work shop that is not available to the renter.
Off street parking is available for 3 cars. BIKES are AVAILABLE for renter's use.

A TV with VCR/DVD is located in the living room.(no cable or satellite) The home is an all electric home. There is no land phone so cell phones are recommended. Air conditioning relies on lake breezes and ceiling fans located throughout the house.

The home is not handicap accessible, stairs are all interior.

Pere Marquette Park is a Nationally Designated Clean and Safe Beach located just south of the Muskegon Channel.
Quote from National Geographic Traveler: "Two-mile-long Pere Marquette wide swatch of sole-soothing sand keeps visitors active with volleyball nets, playground sets, and picnic areas. The water is pristine and salt-free. No jellyfish --- and no sharks." (A freshwater environment)

Outdoor activities include, swimming, kite boarding, wind surfing, sand volley ball, walking and running trails, fishing along the pier, charter boat fishing during the Great Lakes fishing seasons for salmon and lake trout, public boat launches nearby, and public golf courses within 9 miles. Enjoy Lake Michigan sunsets, dinner cruises, watch Great Lake ships pass through the Muskegon channel. A marina, historic submarine, play grounds, and two restaurants within walking distance. The house is 3.5 miles from the Cross Lake Express Ferry to and from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Visitors can visit and return from Milwaukee all within a day.

• Deposits: A personal check of $700 is required to secure a reservation date. The balance ($700) plus a damage deposit of $150 ($850) is to be paid by cashier's check/money order 4 weeks prior to arrival date. The damage deposit will be returned within 10 days LESS any expenses. The intial deposit of $700 will not be refunded IF cancellation occurs less than 30 days from arrival date. The weekly rental fee covers taxes and cleaning.

We rented this property last summer. There were only 4 of us so there was plenty of room. The rental was clean and well kept, even though it is older. That was part of it's charm! Everything that we needed was available. It sits right across the street from the beautiful beach. The channel and lighthouse and a park is an easy short walk away. We would rent again.
