Description of the Myrtle Beach vacation condo rental

The spectacular Compass Cove Resort is located near the center of Myrtle Beach and is one of the area's largest resorts. It offers a stunning array of guest pleasing amenities including 21 pool features! There are 6 indoor and outdoor pools, 3 indoor and outdoor Lazy Rivers, a number of hot tubs/Jacuzzis, and kiddie pools to please the younger ones. There is also a free indoor water park on-site for year round fun no matter what the weather or temperature.

Our new condo is located on the 3rd floor of the Pinnacle Tower which is a direct oceanfront unit with a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. The bedroom features 2 full size beds and the living room has a sleeper sofa and a wall bed. It sleeps a maximum of 6 people. There is a full bath and a kitchen complete with cooking utensils, refrigerator, stove, microwave, and coffee maker. The sliding glass door in the living room opens to your private oceanfront balcony.

In addition to 21 water amenities, the Compass Cove Resort has the award winning Compass Rose Restaurant onsite. There is beach volleyball, oceanfront shuffleboard, exercise room, oceanfront bar & grill, Tiki Bar, video game room, and men's and women's sauna. The list of resort activities is endless! The Compass Cove Resort is located at 2311 South Ocean Blvd. in Myrtle Beach.

Our condo location adds to the vacation experience with its proximity to many restaurants and attractions. Take a short car ride to Broadway on the Beach, The Pavilion, Barefoot Landing, Restaurant Row, Tanger Outlet Mall, Nascar Café, Speed Park, Water Parks, and Amusement Parks. After a restful day on the beach or playing golf on your favorite courses, enjoy an unlimited amount of choices for dining. The Grand Strand boasts over 2000 eateries serving up all kinds of cuisine, including some of the finest sea food found on the east coast. After dinner take advantage of the area's nightlife. You'll find everything from nightclubs to shows in one of 11 live entertainment theaters such as The Alabama Theater, Dixie Stampede, and Carolina Opry.

 Fun weekend at Compass Cove, May 27, 2009

We had a great time. View was great. Enjoyed the water activities, beach, bars and shuffleboard. It was Black Biker week and there was a lot of chaos in parking and road blockages. The only real inconvience was not having a card key to use the sauna and bathrooms at the pool levels. Because it was an owner rental, the front desk would not issue a courtesy key.

We really enjoyed this condo at Compass Cove. Our toddler was thrilled with all that the resort had to offer-- the submarine pool area was a big hit. My husband frequented the bar downstairs as well. The condo was nice, at a good price. It was unclear how the place was to be cleaned, however. We assumed Compass Cove would be coming in, but they informed us since it was a VRBO, they wouldn't, so we had no vacuum. I finally tipped one of the housekeeping staff just to run the vacuum when we couldn't take it anymore. The staff was unresponsive when I called about the broken coffee maker and toaster. I don't know if it's unclear what is taken care of and what's not when it's a VRBO. Otherwise, a tremendous view, clean space, and amazing value. Definitely recommend!

 

 Great time at Compass Cove, April 23, 2008

This was a great condo to stay in. My kids had a blast in all the water amenities. The first couple days the weather was cool so we hung out in the indoor pool and lazy river. It was not very crowded like some resorts we have been to. The indoor pool and lazy river and 1 of the outdoor pools ,at Pinnacle where we stayed, was like bath water. There were multiple hot tubs to enjoy!! The beach was great! Everyone we came across was very friendly!! We Had a great time and will definitly return!Teri was a great help when making the arrangements. She made it very easy for us. She even gave us a phone call a couple days prior to make sure we were all set and gave us her personal # if we had any problems and we did not! THANK YOU TERI!!
