Vacation Rental Description

Classic beauty can be yours in this wonderful home and its surroundings. Step back in time for a wonderful adventure! The Nixon-Cappellua Cottage was built in 1925, to escape demolition it was moved in November of 1997 from the oceanfront to Soundside Road, the oldest road in Nags Head. It now faces Jockey's Ridge State Park, the oldest sand dune on the East Coast! Its character, dignity and beauty have survived. It retains the ambience of Old Nags Head, filled with old iron beds, antiques of various kinds. It has wrap-around porches on two sides were you may sit quietly and relax, paint or read. A short walk to the sound or a short walk to the beach access.

Area Description

Nags Head is considered an ideal vacation spot by many. From local shops and restaurants, there is something for everyone within a short distance. Centrally located to all the attractions the Outer Banks has to offer, Nags Head is home to the famous Jockey's Ridge State Park, which is the tallest natural sand dune system on the East Coast. There are many putt-putt courses and golf courses available to the public on the Outer Banks. In a relatively short drive you can see three of North Carolina's famous lighthouses; Corolla, Bodie and Hatteras. Also, across the sound is Roanoke Island. Roanoke Island is home to the famous outdoor drama, THE LOST COLONY, the Elizabethian Gardens, and the Elizabeth II. All ages will be entertained during their stay in beautiful Nags Head.
