Come stay at this conveniently located 4 bedroom home that overlooks the ocean and the sound, built in summer 2009, playfully named "Big Bird," in Nags Head, NC!
It has ample room to sleep 9 people, with a bonus room with a queen sleeper sofa. Adults and children alike will enjoy the tv in every bedroom, and a 42 inch flat screen in the living room. The upstairs boasts hardwood floors,and a tastefully decorated living room, dining room, and a fully functional kitchen with stainless steel appliances.

Enjoy relaxing outside on one of the four decks. With two decks on each side, you can watch the sun rise over the ocean and set over the sound.

Area Information

"Big Bird" is located at milepost 16, the center of many activities, and interests. You can enjoy the beach, with a public access approximately 150 ft. from the door, or go across the by-pass and kayak in the sound.
There are plenty of entertainment choices with miniature golf, go-karts, parasailing, jet ski rentals etc. If you like to shop, you'll love the Tanger Outlet Mall.
All of this and more within walking distance!!

Wonderful place to stay

This was our first time to Outer Banks. We decided to go at last minute and "Big Bird" was available. This home was very clean and well kept. Perfect location and plenty of room. The decor was lovely and the kitchen had everything we needed. Would love to stay there again.

Wonderful stay in Big Bird at Nags Head

We stayed in Big Bird at Nags Heads for three nights so that we could participate in the Outer Banks Marathon. The house was easy to find, located one block from the beach and one block from the inlet making the views from the balconies gorgeous. Access to all restaurants, shopping, and historical sites was amazing! The restaurant, The Dunes, is located one block from the house and the food is out of this world!!!! The house is lovely, the rooms spacious and well decorated. Three bathrooms make everything run much smoother:) The master bedroom is gloriously large and the bathroom is spacious and has large jetted tub along with double sinks. The kitchen is beautiful and well equip with all you will need, even the dishes are beautiful! For the winter months the fireplace brought great heat and ambience to the upstairs. We enjoyed the long walks on the beach and the hot tub after the race. Lindsay was wonderful to work with on all the arrangements before we arrived and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hope we can stay in the house again!
