Description of the Najac vacation home rental
The house is a fully modernised 18th centuary stone built farmhouse. The living accommodation is on the first floor which is approached by a stone exterior stairway typical of Quercy farmhouses. There is a large garden bordered by the small River Seye. The house adjoins the D33 and has an ample driveway for parking several cars etc.

The accommodation consists of

Large dining terrace/balcony overlooking the garden with table, benches and built-in barbarcue
Big stone-walled kitchen/diner with exposed beams
Sitting room with original features and exposed beamed ceiling log stove and three piece suite
Bedroom 1 has a double bed : bedroom 2 has 2 single beds as well as 2 folding beds : bedroom 3 has a double bed and a child's dropside cot
Bathroom with bath and hand shower and bidet. Separate WC

On ground floor

The area
A beautiful and unspoilt area that lies just beyond the limestone plateau of Quercy in the rolling hills of Rouergue. The deep wooded slopes of the valleys and surrounding hills in which ancient hamlets nestle gives plenty of room for wildlife such as squirrels,deer,wild pigs and birds which includes birds of prey, hoopoe etc
The climate
Lying on the same latitude as Nice, this area enjoys long hot summers and glorious Springs & Autumns. In this attractive spot a true taste of rural France, rich in history., can be experienced.
Eating out
There are many reasonably priced restaurants, cafe and ferme auberges within easy reach. Nearby are the wine growing areas of Gaillac, Quercy and Cahors with the opportunity to try and buy the local vintages
Najac/ St Antonin Noble Val/ Caylus area
Verfeil (2km) has a post office and baker/ general stores. The hill village of Parisot is nearby and has further shops. Caylus(10km) is a small charming medieval town with many shops and bank etc. The larger towns of Caussade, Villefranche and St Antonin have more shopping facilities with supermarkets all within easy reach where there are also large open markets weekly.
Recreation
Swimming, boating and windsurfing nearby in Caylus and/or St Antonin where there is also swimming and canoeing in the River Aveyron
This is a wonderful area for walking, both easy and strenuous, and cycling
There are several castles and bastides ( fortified ancient villages) to visit.
