Description of the Nantahala vacation cabin rental
Area Information
The Nantahala River is great for white water rafting which is available down the mountain about twenty minutes east.
Cherokee which is 45 minutes away has a Casino and Museums and a outdoor theatre. Asheville is about two hours away.
The nearest town down the mountain is Andrews which has all the necessary needs. Grocery, drug store, resturants and some shopping.
Murphy is the next town east and has all your necessary needs as listed above.

Beautiful cabin, beautifully furnished, very clean, wonderful covered porch and large inviting deck. Private setting, quiet, peaceful, bubbling stream, fire pit and hot tub. Only negative, the bed could use a little more padding, perhaps a 2 or 3 inch memory foam topper for older bones lime ours.

Waterfall and Hiking Paradise!

We had a great time just hiking in the woods or to one of the 16 waterfalls within driving distance of the cabin. Great hiking weather! Enjoyed the firepit and hot tub to end the perfect day. What a beautiful part of North Carolina! We will definately visit again.

Felt Like Home

My husband and I just spent a wonderful relaxing week here. The location is perfect...so peaceful and quiet. We really felt at home. We loved the deck, listening to the birds and the stream, the fire pit, the hot tub, and the stars at night. This cabin is very secluded and private, and very well stocked. Lots of things to do in the area, great hiking trails! Being pet friendly is really a bonus....our dog, Cooper, had a great time exploring the woods and the stream. As vacations usually go, the week went way too fast and we truly hated to leave. We definitely plan on coming back soon!

A slice of heaven

The cabin is excellent, very secluded. If you are an addict to internet and cell phones, this is not the place for you which is why it was perfect for me and my husband, no cell service, no internet, a complete getaway. Still close enough to great hikes, kayaking, rafting, even city life if you want to drive to Asheville. I highly recommend this property. Dave and Debbie are great as well! Hope to be back again soon!

We enjoyed the cabin. We enjoyed the decks thanks to the unusually warm weather. The dogs loved the creek and woods. Now, our grill seems really small and inadequate. We will return soon.

A truly lovely setting - the house is genuinely a retreat with privacy galore! The owners showed genuine concern with an unexpected hot tub problem - they immediately sent a repair man to fix it. The cabin is beautifully decorated and is a gem; the fire pit is a bonus next to the babbling brook when the temps drop into the mid-50s on July nights. We stayed three nights and hated to leave. Hopefully, we can book a return trip soon. This is really a bargain for the price. Thanks

Our trip to "Cabin Fever" was wonderful! What I loved the most was that it felt like home. Quiet and comfortable. All of the comforts of home were provided all we had to bring was an appetite for fun and relaxation. The boat ramp was located only four miles from the cabin. We spent all week playing on one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen. I would recommend to anyone wanting a nice get-away to stay at "Cabin Fever". It was nice to find such a wonderful place to relax at not such a wallet busting price. Thank you for that.
