It has a wonderful sense of privacy and is located on a quiet lane within easy walking distance of the Nanticoke Harbor and Roaring Point Park (pictured above) where you can swim, lounge on the sandy beach, fish, or put your boat into the water. On the main floor is a spacious, state-of-the art, eat-in kitchen, a large living room with a beautiful fireplace and comfy furniture, a dining area, an office/library, the laundry and mudroom, and a powder room. Upstairs, the house has a large master bedroom suite with a big soaking tub and walk-in shower, two more bedrooms, and a second full bathroom with tub and vanity.

Every room is filled with decorator touches. Downstairs, stained wood windows and doors and exposed beams typical of farmhouses are blended with new area rugs, comfortable furniture, and modern conveniences. Upstairs, all bedrooms are filled with cream wall-to-wall carpeting. The queen beds in the master bedroom and the second bedroom, and the twin trundle beds, have new quilts and bed linens, cozy duvet-covered down comforters, wonderful mattresses, and plenty of pillows. The master bedroom also has a comfortable sitting area where you can put your feet up and gaze out through the large windows. The bathrooms are stocked with lots of fluffy towels.

The kitchen is well-equipped with a five-burner stove, stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, slate countertops, and plenty of dishes, glasses, utensils, and pots and pans, right down to the wineglasses and frosty beer mugs. Outside on the porch, you can sit and relax, grill your dinner, and then eat at the picnic table on the large adjacent lawn overlooking the fields.

Special touches include a DVD player, Cable TV and high-speed Wireless Internet. The office is stocked with games, puzzles and playing cards for your enjoyment. On the lawn, you can play with the croquet or bocce ball sets or make use of the badminton/volleyball net usually set up (all equipment provided).

Nanticoke Harbor:
Nanticoke Harbor is an easy 4/10 mile walk right down the road. Put your boat into the water there and park your vehicle. There is also a small beach right at the Harbor.

Roaring Point:
Roaring Point beach is just beyond Nanticoke Harbor - an easy 7/10 mile walk or bike ride from the house. This is a wonderful sandy beach with perfect water temperatures in the summer, and a soft shallow slope - perfect for swimming and playing in the water.

Cedar Hill Park and Marina:
Cedar Hill Park and Marina houses tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball diamonds, a soccer field, a playground for the kids, a scenic overlook with a charming swing, and of course, the marina.

Just beyond Cedar Hill lies our local general store, Westside Market, with a deli counter (try the pulled pork or chicken salad) and a small market .

Local Restaurants:
Just beyond the market lies Boonies Chop House and Pub, the local restaurant serving wonderful chowders, steak, burgers and fish. Try the pizza special on Sunday nights and the burger special on Wednesdays (of course, call first to make sure specials are still available).

Another restaurant, the Red Roost is located in White Haven, about 10 minutes away. The Red Roost is famous for its fresh seafood. It frequently hosts busloads of tourists who come specifically for their food.


The Town of Salisbury is 19 miles to the north and provides an abundance of restaurants, shopping and movie theaters.

Golf:
The area hosts a number of four-star golf courses for the golfing aficionado. We can provide you with a list of those.

Day Trips:
From the Farmhouse, day trips to other areas of the Eastern Shore are easy. Ocean City and Assateague Island National Seashore are an easy 50 minute drive. Cambridge and Crisfield are about 45 minutes away in the other direction. Take daily ferries back and forth to Tangier and Smith Islands. Cypress State Park in Delaware is one of the few remaining Cypress forests. The hardest thing will be choosing which to do.


Antiques:
Use the Farmhouse as a base for antique hunting. Nearby Snow Hill, Berlin, and Princess Anne County are fun places to browse and shop. A special note should be made about Berlin, the site of filming for Runaway Bride and Tuck Everlasting.

Hunting and Fishing:
The Farmhouse is a perfect place to stay for hunting and fishing. After a day in the cold or the sun, come back to soothing civilization at the Farmhouse.
