My husband and I were searching for a peaceful, cozy place to spend our anniversary, and we were delighted to discover The Duck Pond Farm property. The price was very reasonable, the land was beautiful, and the cabin was just right for us... simple on the outside and looked almost brand-new on the inside. The bed was comfortable, the AC/heating was efficient and quiet, the bathroom was nice. We made delicious meals using just the two burner unit and toaster oven, and cooked incredible steaks on one of the grills outside the cabin. The morning we left, we ate breakfast on the pretty little deck off the kitchen, and enjoyed a beautiful view of the woods and the pond and gazebo. It looks like it would be an awesome place to have a wedding! I loved the gorgeous drive lined with pine trees and the sweet gazebo by the water. Inside the cabin it was a little dimly lit (without the fluorescent(?) overhead light on), and while that did make it cozy, I would've enjoyed maybe a better reading light by the bed and better lighting in the kitchen. The TV worked great, lots of channels to choose from. We used the cute little table at the foot of the bed to have some meals while enjoying some of our favorite shows ("Cupcake Wars" on the Food Network and "Fixer Upper" on HGTV). We were inspired! I even took a bath, which is a real luxury in a hurried world, and found it quite relaxing. We could've used a few more towels though! Even though we only stayed two nights, it's nice to have a few extra towels (bathroom and kitchen) when you need them. We would totally go back again - and intend to! Our experience was almost entirely positive, and the space felt very private, even though there were visitors staying in both cabins either side of ours. I would love even more time there! Maybe next time we'll be able to add a couple extra nights...
Francie, We are so glad that you and Ryan enjoyed your stay! Too bad you couldn't have been here through the weekend, because we do have weddings here. When you make your next reservation, remind us, we will be glad to provide those extra towels for you!
Take care and we look forward to your return visit!
Did not stay here, but owners were super friendly.

Because we were attending a daily conference in Nashville, this property was further out of town than we desired. I realised this once I spoke with the owner who was super friendly. I will definatly keep this property in mind.

We had a wonderful time at the Duck Pond Farm. It was just perfect for my grandchildren to run around and not feel confined. The beds were very comfy and we had everything we needed. Sue & Archie were very accommodating.
it was great

Wow, this was a really nice cabin. All the modern amenities of home: microwave, half refrigerator, two burner cooktop, granite counter kitchen. Pull down bed was very comfortable, better than one would expect. Really pretty upstairs bed. Great AC. Nice ceramic floor. I expected it be just okay because it was a really good price, but it was really nice. For just about the price of a hotel room we got a really nice very modern cabin with a gorgeous view, a nice deck and almost all the comforts of home, this was great.
Thank you! we are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We try to make the accommodations as comfortable and clean as possible, while supplying many amenities! Having traveled for many years for work, when we outfitted the cabins, we put some thought to it.. we love it when everyone enjoys the cabins and the surroundings.
hope to see you again in the future!

We stayed first at a smaller cabin, but the Wi-Fi did not work well, and I also needed to work, so the next day Sue upgraded us to the Chalet for a small increase in cost, well worth it!!!, bring your fishing poles if you like as they have a stocked pond, this was one of my best stays on a business trip.

My fiancee and I needed just a short stay before we flew out of Nashville, and this was the perfect spot. Nashville of course is loud and crazy, not to mention the CMA's were happening. Sue and Archie were so accommodating and the Duck Pond Farm cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed. We stuck around Mt. Juliet the next day before driving a short ways to the city and it was very nice. Thank you!

Felt right at home at Duck Pond Farm
May 28, 2014
From the moment we arrived on the property, we knew our road trip had led us to the right place! The trip had one event to attend and the rest of the trip was "just go and relax". We attended my Dad's 80th birthday party on Saturday in Jackson, Ms. On Sunday, we decided to head to Nashville. We happened upon the listing for DPF and started getting a little more focused on where we were going. Lol! As soon as we entered the property, we were greeted by Sue and Archie, the owners, along with 3 deer! They made us feel we were the only guests and made sure we had everything we needed! We loved the cabin. Even though it was a "cabin", it had all the comforts of home. Each morning, we had our coffee on the deck while watching ducks, geese, turkeys, and birds. The many trails were an open invitation to stroll and admire the wildlife and beauty there. (One morning, we came upon the biggest deer track we'd ever seen!) Even though we were in a rural area surrounded by woods, we were only about ten minutes from several shopping malls and restaurants. We even found a sporting goods store and purchased a couple fishing poles and lures, so we could take advantage of the pond, too! You are within twenty-five minutes of Nashville. There is so much to see and do there. We spent one day downtown, and we also attended the Grand Ole Opry. We had originally planned a 2-day stay there and then travel to the mountains. However, we extended our stay 2 more days! We highly recommend DPF to anyone who loves the outdoors and enjoys the serenity of nature. If you like being away from the city, yet close enough for convenience, this is the place for you! The owners will welcome you and ensure you have a pleasant stay. Sue and Archie, thank you for being such wonderful hosts! You have a beautiful place, and we appreciate you sharing it with others! We needed the trip to make a clear decision for our next chapter in life and were successful! Yes, I did it! I retired! Best wishes for continued success as you expand your dreams with DPF! Hope to see more of your vision on our next trip! Yours truly, Perry and Kay B.
Thank you Kay and Perry! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and Congratulations on that big decision to retire!! Welcome to a new and exciting stage of life! we are glad our property provided the peaceful atmosphere to help you make that big decision while you enjoyed the wildlife and local scenery.
We hope to see you again in the future!

Not a rustic cabin retreat!
April 5, 2014
The cabins at Duck Pond Farm are fantastic, not at all the rustic cabin you might invision. These cabins are modern and well appointed with Corian countertops, nice fixtures, comfortable beds, and a great little kitchenette. DPF is on the outskirts of Nashville and we found it very easy to enjoy all the fun of the city yet very relaxing to begin and end our day on the peaceful deck of the cabin. We loved our time at DPF and look forward to staying there when we visit Nashville again. On a side note, eat at Papa Turney's BBQ when you visit, amazing!
Thank you LIsa! We are glad you and your family enjoyed yourselves and loved our property! We do offer peace and tranquility and beautiful surroundings, including the pond and the ducks and deer that hang out here. All of that and being convenient to Nashville as 6 miles from the closest mall.
We look forward to your return

Great place to get away

The cabins were small, but beautifully finished. For two of though, it was a perfect size. I think we might take the kids back there one day. It was about 30 minutes from downtown Nashville which was perfect since we watedto get away from all the noise once I awhile. I highly recommend this place and will stay there again if we ever go back to the Nashville area

My girlfriend and I had a great stay. The weather was really the only bad thing. The property was very nice and it was peaceful. There was fishing close by and that was very enjoyable.
Our guests have used the terms "piece of heaven", "paradise" and "gem" to describe the property.
Beautiful, peaceful, and tranquil is the feeling of the property.
Comfortable and clean is how they describe the cabins and chalet. Well outfitted with amenities.
Overall word that most people use is "AWESOME"
