Great weekend

The pictures don't do this house justice. And Joyce- the owner- is wonderful. Plenty of space and bathrooms. Very easy drive to downtown Nashville. Just minutes from the airport. i highly recommend renting this property.

Great Cabin!

This cabin has plenty of rooms and fit 15 people comfortably. We were there in March and were unfortunately not able to take advantage of the pool. The cabin provided plenty of towels and linens. My only complaint would be that the "fully stocked kitchen" did not provide enough cups/baking dishes/servingware. Also would not recommend spending the extra money for the guesthouse.

Wonderful Vacation Home!

We just got back from a week in this amazing historical vacation home. Our group included 6 adults and 4 kids ranging from ages 3-12. We rented the main house (not the additional guest house) and from the moment we walked through the front doors, we were in awe. Each bedroom was spacious and tastefully decorated. I loved that we all had our own bathrooms! Most of the bedrooms have their own TV, plus a TV in the living area and in the game room where there is also a DVD player (good for popping a movie in for the kids), a pool table and a dart board (though a complete collection of working darts is lacking). The property and house has been well maintained. We spent a lot of time by the pool which was also well kept and has lovely lounge chairs all around it for relaxing in the sun. You really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, and yet, within 5-10 minutes are all amenities you would need, plus a water park which was great fun for the kids (ok, and the grown-ups!). Drive just a few minutes further, and you can go shopping at the nearby shopping mall in Nashville which has a huge selection of regular and upscale stores -- great for a girls day out shopping like we did, which also included a mani/pedi at the nearby Venetian Spa. And of course, if you like country music, you are in the heart of it. The city of Nashville is a short drive away, and we enjoyed several outings to the downtown area for lunch and shopping. My father and mother in law also enjoyed a river boat cruise. Every night after dark, my husband took the kids out to the pond on the property for critter exploring which resulted in the highlight of the trip for him -- catching a giant bullfrog! (Which was soon safely released back into the pond.) The owners were responsive to all of our needs and were a pleasure to communicate with. We would gladly rebook for next year! You can't go wrong with this place!

Charming and Full of Character

We were looking for a house near Nashville that could accommodate 5 couples coming together from 3 different states. We asked Joyce many questions before made the decision to rent it. Joyce was very patient and answered all our questions. From the moment you turn into the driveway, you are impressed by the beautifully manicured grounds and then you are totally captivated when the log house comes into view. The house may be old, but it is full of character. The rooms are nicely furnished and there is an abundance of dishes and silverware for a large group. The house felt very warm and inviting and we all had a wonderful time.

We spent a week at this lovely home with my entire family for a family reunion. We had 12 adults and 5 little ones and there was plenty of room for all. (the little ones were on air mattresses that we brought ourselves). The property is very well maintained-a little slice of heaven! We loved having the pool right outside the back door. It's the perfect location. Right by the airport and only 20 min. from downtown Nashville. My entire family commented that we should just rent again for next year. Thanks to Joyce and Bill for providing us with such a great vacation home!

Overall a very pleasant experience. Kitchen needs to be a updated as well as the tv's expecially for the winter months. Host were wonderful and everything was there as promised. If you need space, this is the place.

October Wedding Memories

We had a wonderful fall weekend in this beautiful log home and guest house. The log home has everything you need for a great family get-together! Our daughter was getting married at a venue downtown but we decided to stay out in the country...a great decision for us! Our stay in the log home surpassed our expectations by far. The view from the front porch swing was beautiful as well as the view from the back decks. We had a post wedding celebration at the house and everyone who came was amazed by the home and the grounds. Thanks to Joyce and Bill for making our stay so pleasant. We have rented several vacation homes and this by far was one of the best!! We only wish we could have stayed a few extra days after the wedding to really "relax" and enjoy the beauty of the country. We hope to be able to rent again and enjoy the pool in warmer temps!! We had a wonderful time - thanks Joyce and Bill! With the guest cottage there are actually 6 bedrooms available (5 listed on website). The home is spacious and comfortable. The property is an oasis - inground pool, covered party cabana, back deck, front porch, pond, and on an on. Very shady too. Even nicer than the photos. Our family members ranged in age from 3 to 55 and there was something for everyone. Convenient to I-40 and Nashville is an easy 15 minute drive.

Amazing, simply amazing! Better than the web site describes. Memories made at the home to last a life time. Family members came from all over to celebrate our Mother. We had a great time at the house. The bedrooms are all very well appointed. The grounds are well maintained and it is easy to get lost for hours in one of the swings with a good book. Easy to get to all Nashville hot spots. Survived the flood of 2010 with the owners - the owners, charming and gracious only begin to describe them. This is a great find and I am sure we will return!

Great family Reunion rental!

My family and I stayed here for a week at the end of April. This place is WONDERFUL!!! We all enjoyed it very much and would do it again! The rooms are spacious and the grounds are well maintained. A real paradise

Our stay was simply wonderful at this beautiful place. The facilities were well maintained and there was something for everyone to enjoy. You can relax by the pool, watch the deer and turkey,walk the marvelously maintained grounds and surrounding area. I cannot say enough about stay except it was marvelous, thanks to Joyce and Bill.

Fantastic house

This house is beautiful and looks a lot better than the photos on the internet. All the rooms have nice colors, the house has character and the rooms where beautiful and clean, the garden and the area around the property was fantastic. The guesthouse was also absolutley fantastic and was a big suprise. The property as well as the house, where huge and good taken care of. We had the best vacation in Nashville and the house and its owners Joys and Bill was the reason. They realy wanted us to have a nice time and did their best to make it so. We were 14 people in the house for 8 days and had good space and good beds. They even get us two small beds for our 2 year old twins. This house get our best recomandations. I hope this house gets more visitors from Norway and Scandinavia after this review. Best regards Tone

A Fab Girls Weekend!

We celebrated my 50th Bday at this lovely home. It had all the coveniences - and the fun stuff too! With many arrving and departing from the Nashville Airport - the location was perfect. It is better than the photos - more updated...the grounds are lovely and well kept. We never wanted to leave! Had plans to dine in dwntwn Nashville - and did not because we were so comfortable. Perfect for a gathering of 8 to 12 and more!! Thanks!

My family of 9 were in residence for a week and had a terrific experience. The accomodations are spacious, the hospitality underpassed and the sense of tranquility contributed to the experience of everyone. You will not be dissappointed with the upkeep, the comfort, the location or the variety of activities. The grounds and "toys" don't leave anyone feeling left out. Curb appeal is impressive as is the comfort and options for fun and variety. The location allows for the adventerous as well as those desiring tanquility. Percy Preist is tranquil and more adventerous or alternatives for children are right next door. We could not have had a better experience and we challenge others to suggest dissappointment in any way. Bigger better and even more charming than described! Thank you Joyce and Bill, etc., the Sandra Brown's from Arlington, TX. My next novel may very well include the Nashville "Tara" - outstanding - we'll come back as often as possible.
