I know I speak for our entire group when I say that this place trully made the vacation to Tennessee. It was lovely, inviting, comfortable and just the right amount of distance from Nashville. And what a bargain. If you appreciate good hospitality and friendly service, the Carmen's are the people to stay with. We look forward to coming back, and when we do, we will be back to Villa Toscana.

We were greeted by Tammy and Bill on our arrival to their lovely home. Villa Toscana was even nicer than the online photos! As soon as you drive onto the property, the Tuscan charm surrounds you and makes you feel so welcome. The house is elegantly furnished and the owners have made sure there is everything you need for a perfect get-away. We had beautiful weather during our stay and were able to enjoy the screened porch and outdoor area for a graduation celebration for our son and his girlfriend. The inside of the house is spacious but arranged in many intimate seating areas that make it perfect for entertaining.

The house and grounds are immaculately maintained. The master suite is unbelievable! One of my favorite things are the lounge chairs under the pergola outside of the master bedroom - I could have spent the entire time there!! The kitchen is also amazing with a gas stove, convection oven, two dish washers, and a warming drawer. We were too busy to take time to use the media room but did enjoy the music from the speakers that are placed throughout the house and on the screened porch.

Villa Toscana is located only a few minutes from I-65 but once you drive through the gate, you are a world away from everything. We wanted to stay forever!! We will definitely return. Thank you, Tammy and Bill, for a perfect mini-vacation!

My family came to Franklin a week prior to my granddaughter's wedding in order to help her with last minute details. Villa Toscana was the perfect place for this task. We had computers's being used, printers, a Cricut, and various assembly lines. The great room and the screened porch enabled us to have ample space. The master bath was the perfect setting for the bride and her party to get their make-up and hair done the afternoon of the wedding. Although we ate out in Franklin numerous times, we also cooked and ate in. The kitchen was marvelous....two diswashers!!
Having a host like Bill who met us upon arrival made us feel like family. We made so many great memories this week. Villa Toscana does have the flavor of Italy, but more than that it has the feeling of home.......warm, inviting, and a place you want to come back to!!

Our family stayed at Villa Toscana for a week because our grandson was getting married in the area. It is a beautiful home and area, nicely decorated, good floor plan, and the owner was so accommodating in helping us to feel comfortable there. We loved the screened-in porch, which we used all of the time. We had a very relaxing week there in spite of the busyness of the wedding. We would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Our the family stayed at Villa Tuscana the week my son was married. It was a perfect place to gather with family and friends. The beds were wonderful and the whole place was decorated nicely. The master bedroom suite is especially spacious with a huge bathroom, that has both a spa tub and a gigantic shower, and a whole room closet/office included.

We enjoyed the screen porch and decks and loved the open kitchen layout. The grounds are beautiful and comprise a number of acres providing unique privacy for the villa.

Bill and his wife could not have been more accommodating to our needs. They have created a real Tuscan gem and we hope to return in the future.

My family rented this house in August and had a wonderful vacatio! We were looking for a quiet home to relax but also to be close enough to the city to enjoy Nashville. We ended up spending most of our time in Franklin. The Civil War sites were interesting and the food in Franklin was amazing. If you go, you must eat at the Henpeck Village Market and Puckett's, which are both in Franklin. We had a total of 6 people staying in the house from age 69 to 2 years old and everyone had a fantastic time.

We are planning on returning next year and renting this house again. Enjoy!

My wife and I hosted a very small gathering at the Villa Toscana, and i have to say that the property was absolutely perfect.
The layout inside, mixed with the outside space and remarkable tranquility for its useful proximity to roads and business's made the villa the perfect choice for us.
The master suite is gorgeous, common areas warm, inviting and open, and the additional three bedrooms were perfectly sized and suited for our friends and family to join us.
The outdoor space was well used for eating, drinking, dancing, games and of course a good ol' fashioned campfire around the seated fire pit.
I feel that the Villa not only offers exceptional value for money, but also a great place to make memories. We will be renting again in the future!
Listing was accurate, the venue was extremely clean and well maintained. If i had to give a negative, it would be the time it takes find and turn on / off the 100's light switches in the house.. and lets face it, thats hardly a bad thing!

Wedding Weekend Base of Operation

I had very high hopes for our weekend in Franklin. We hosted the rehearsal dinner in the lovely Villa Toscana and it was the perfect location. Our guests were relaxed and comfortable. The design and layout of the house is perfect for entertaining. From the spacious screened porch to the well equipped kitchen (right down to the warming drawer). Our out of town family enjoyed the three bedrooms on one end of the house, and when my husband and I decided to retire from the late-night visiting among the twenty-somethings, we didn't hear a sound from inside the separate master suite. The owner was very responsive when I had questions before we arrived, and touched base via text message to make sure all was well during our stay. The location feels so secluded -- and yet so easy to get to via the Interstate. My idea of a perfect weekend get away. Not only would I recommend it to a friend -- I hope we'll get to bring our family there again.

Thanksgiving Family Vacation
Guest: Cindy Y.
Date of Stay: 11/23/11 Review Submitted: 12/03/11

I highly recommend this vacation home!! We made it a destination Thanksgiving vacation for our seven kids and spouses (ages 16-25) who came from all across the country. They are sometimes hard to please so this had to be good! There is nothing about this place that was anything less than spectacular! The online pictures are gorgeous, but they don't even do the house justice. The front door looks and feels like a castle door when you open and close it; the high ceilings and Roman columns are breath-taking. It is both luxurious and comfortable at the same time. The kitchen was FABULOUS and believe me we really used it with all of our Thanksgiving cooking! The island was a favorite gathering place and a comfortable spot for the family to sit and visit while we cooked. The screened-in back porch was a great place to relax, entertain, and have a meal, and every night we lit a fire in the fireplace and gathered around it to play games in the sitting area. The outdoors was just as great as the indoors! The eleven acres surrounding the house were perfect for our traditional Thanksgiving family football game! On Friday we walked around the corner to the community basketball court for a couple hours of fierce family competition, and on Saturday my husband mapped out a 9-hole wedge-golf-course on the property for a family golf scramble! This place was great because it had everything we needed for the family to be content to stay together THERE without being tempted to go anywhere else for entertainment! We had a dream vacation and I was really sorry to leave. We would all love to book it again for next Thanksgiving!

Villa Toscana: the perfect retreat!

Date of Stay: 12/01/11 Review Submitted: 12/07/11

We chose to stay at Villa Toscana to celebrate a family member's milestone birthday. Five adults and four children stayed in the home with a few additional relatives stopping in during our stay. Villa Toscana definitely added to our very special family time together. The home is spacious with many separated gathering spots to share each others company. The home is warm and inviting with a fabulous kitchen for cooking. The beds are all snug and comfy, and the furniture throughout is refined with some interesting pieces here and there.
The grounds are peaceful and perfect for outdoor games, strolling, and relaxing. A lovely creek runs behind the property and a relaxing hammock swings between two sturdy trees. The fire pit area guaranteed us memories for a lifetime. The location of Villa Toscana is excellent with easy interstate access and close proximity to shopping.
We can't imagine a more ideal setting or a more relaxing vacation retreat!

It couldn't have been better.

We had a trip planned with my mother (92 yrs), my daughter (18 years) and myself, somewhere in the middle. We specifically wanted to see the Opryland Hotel and the Rockettes for Christmas. Once I checked on the price of two rooms at the Opryland, I found that we could rent this wonderful villa in Franklin for less. Plus, we were able to invite my brother & sister-in-law to join us. The villa is fabulous and we did not lack for anything. Now, we feel that we could have spent much less time in Nashville and more time in Franklin. We loved historic downtown Franklin and had wonderful tours of the Lotz and Carter Houses. I would love to return in the Spring or Fall so I could enjoy the outdoor amenities more. Can't say enough wonderful things about the villa and our gracious host, Bill.

My mother (92 yrs), my daughter (18 yrs) and I planned a trip to Nashville to see the Christmas lights at the Opryland Hotel and the Rocketts show. Originally we planned on staying at the Opryland Hotel....but after comparing prices I realized it was less expensive to stay at this lovely villa in Franklin than to get two rooms at the Hotel. Plus, we were able to include my brother and sister-in-law in the fourth bedroom.

The villa was just beautiful and it provided us with everything we needed. The wonderful kitchen and open areas invited comfortable and enjoyable meals at the villa and discussions in front of the fireplace. We also discovered that the city of Franklin provided us with as much sightseeing and shopping as we wanted. In fact, we regretted scheduling some of the activities in Nashville as we found it much more enjoyable to stay at the villa.

Our villa host, Bill, was very informative and available to assist at all times. Since the drive to Opryland, etc. is a bit long, I suggest that you plan your Nashville activities in as few a trips as possible and discover the wonderful city of Franklin. I would highly recommend this villa for anyone wanting an enjoyable retreat.

Our group of 8 came from Texas and Oklahoma for a Nashville friend's 50th birthday. We arrived after dark and the house was lit up inside for us as well as the door unlocked (that was a plus). There was comfortable seating for everyone to be together, including when our local guests would come and go. The beds were comfy and the huge master bath jacuzzi tub and dual head shower were fought over. Weather was cold so we made good use of the fireplace. And we were able to cook right there. The location is great, just off of I-65, which makes heading to Nashville very easy. Some of our group explored the local area. Everyone was very pleased and I would highly recommend this house. The owner answered any questions quickly from booking to check-out. We will return someday. Jada Smallwood Canton, Texas

This house was well equipped and located in a remote but accessible area. The Master bedroom was huge - the bathroom was amazing. The other three bedrooms were a great size and both of the other bathrooms were really very nice. But the common areas were the most spectacular. We had up to 12 people at various times over 2 days and we had room for everyone to sit and a great fire place to warm things when it got a little cold at night.

There is an outdoor firepit and it was big enough for 8 of us to comfortably site and 4 more to stand around - the folks at this house had plenty of wood and kindling - really they thought of everything.

there was a great kitchen and we were impressed at how modern things were and the quality of all the amenities. We only had 4 people staying here and 8 more attend for the meeting but with all the outdoor activities and the beautiful space, i am sure you could have added more with tents and things like that. We will be back.

We four couples thoroughly enjoyed Keith Urban at the Grand Ole Opry. Puckett's in downtown Franklin was fun, too. But what we will always remember about our Nashville vacation is this gorgeous house and Bill's hospitality. The kitchen is to die for, the very large screened-in porch was so relaxing. The instruction notebook told us everything we needed to know. We couldn't believe how many towels were available, and flat-screened tvs everywhere. Truly lovely and very Tuscan. I can't recommend this highly enough.

My husband and I rented the house as a central meeting point for his family to visit with us on our vacation. We live in Boston area and don't get to see his TN family as often as we would like. We have three children: 11, 4 & 16 months. My mother-in-law traveled with us. We had overnight visits from aunts and uncles, cousins, great-grandmother, nieces & nephews, etc. The home is great for entertaining and and relaxing. We had lots of activities planned for the kids and opted out of most because the kids had a blast playing in the fields, the creek and watching the horses on the next property and the adults took full advantage of the other amenities like the fire pit, screened porch, decks, hammock, etc. In fact, we liked it so much we want to reserve it for a week again next year and do the same thing!

Your home is beautiful and has every amenity you could possibly need (except propane for the grill). We were ready to grill one night and there wasn't any propane in the tank so that was a disappointment.
Other than that we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to our friends.

Owner response:Pat, my apologies for the miscommunication and inconvenience. A spare tank is readily available in the pantry along with the grilling utensils as outlined in the welcome book. Thank you for pointing this out and we will create additional signage at the grilling station to minimize the chances of this occurring. We also make ourselves available by cell 24/7 for any questions that might arise during your stay and it's our goal for guests to have the most enjoyable experience possible. Next time you stay I'll provide the steaks !!

10 great friends get together once a year to renew our friendship, shop, laugh, and EAT. Our visit to the villa more than met our expectations. From the minute we opened the door everyone was extremely pleased. This elegant yet charming, homelike home was fabulous. We cooked in the "to die for" kitchen and slept in comefy beds with the best linins. Everyone took turns in the "great tub" even though most had their own private baths. We walked the grounds for exercise and enjoyed the awesome screened in porch. We try an get together once a year and by far the "Villa" beats them all. Would recommend this delightful home to anyone!

This is a very beautiful house. It was exactly as described in the listing. We found it to be clean and well stocked with plenty of towels. The only thing we found lacking was we needed more silverware. Bill, the owner, called while we were there to make sure everything was fine. Downtown Franklin was very nice to eat and shop at. Nashville was fun. The treehouse exhibit at the Cheekwood Botanical gardens was fun for the kids. The boat cruise on the Cumberland River with Captain Jesse was a lot of fun too! We also decided to spend more time in this house and make use of the beautiful grounds. Plenty of yard to play basketball, baseball, hit a golf ball and put a sprinkler out for the little ones. It cooled down enough at night to use the screened in porch. Very nice!! I would definitely recommend this house and will be coming back in a couple years.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with the Villa! The listing description and the photos were very accurate, however, the Villa is even better in person than in the photos. It was extremely clean and had great amenities such as the media room and the screened in porch in the backyard. It is in a great location as well. It is right off the interstate and has lots of privacy. We would recommend this place to friends in a heartbeat. The owner made our stay even more welcoming as he took the time to meet us and was extremely helpful with directions and activities in the area.

This is the fourth summer trip we have done with two other families and I believe it was my favorite. This is the first vacation house that has exceeded my expectations. When we arrived after our long trip, the gas lanterns were on and there were beautiful flowers around the front entrance. The Villa is beautiful and very comfortable. The description and photos of the Villa are accurate. The property was clean and very well maintained. The kids loved playing in the huge yard and riding their bikes on the long driveway. There is plenty of room for families to spread out and relax. We loved the screened porch and the large deck. The kitchen is beautiful and has high end appliances. It is well stocked with everything you need including plenty of silverware. We cooked out several nights on the gas grill. There was gas for the grill and grilling utensils. The beds are all very comfortable with great linens. It was great to have a flat screen television in every bedroom. There were plenty of towels and a hair dryer in every bathroom. The owner was available and ready to help with whatever we needed including recommendations on activities in Franklin. We had a great time at the Villa and cannot wait to return. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone. Thank you Bill for a memorable vacation!

Just got home from an awesome time at the Villa in Franklin. We met up with our three grown children and their spouses and 1 grandchild. Had a great time hanging out at the house. We had a family pic taken there. The huge front doors were a beautiful backdrop to our picture. This house is amazing. Well stocked kitchen and so much fun to cook in. The screened in porch was wonderful too. We had pretty hot humid weather but were still able to be outside. Bill is very accommodating! My daughter was used to rocking her 6 mo. old to sleep and there wasn't a rocking chair at the house. I emailed Bill and he had one there before noon the next day. Thanks so much Bill it was a life saver. No complaints here....you'll love it. Huge yard and very well maintained home. We plan on going back someday. Franklin is a cool little town with tons of quaint little shops.

My gal pals and I recently spent 7 days in Franklin, Tennessee and stayed at the 4 bedroom rental home, Villa Tuscana. The well kept home was clean, up to date with new appliances, open floor plan, a TV in every bedroom with comfortable beds and spacious common areas and beautifully decorated in a Tuscan theme.
It is perfect accommodations for all types of get aways. Sitting on 11 acres, the estate is private yet close to the highway making travel to Nashville very convienient.
Having taken 24 trips together all over the country, Villa Tuscana is by far the most beautiful home we've ever stayed in.
Highly recommended. A++++

We loved your home! We felt welcomed the moment we pulled into your property! What a beautiful place to call home and we appreciate all the "extras" that we don't normally see in other homes we have rented on vacation. Franklin is a gorgeous place to visit. We loved visiting the downtown area and enjoyed the Walking Tours through historic Franklin. Puckett's became a quick favorite restaurant for us. Of course, we had to hit the Nashville strip - Broadway, shopped, ate and shopped some more and then caught a great concert. We would come back in a heart beat! Before we even got to our home, we were sharing your pictures with friends and family and now that we have returned, we can't stop talking about it! The pictures were gorgeous and the house was even better than that! Thank you so much for making our first trip to Nashville/Franklin a memorable one! God Bless!

Though this property is close and convenient to Interstate, home and grounds feel very private. Excellent accomodations for large family or group gathering. Plenty of places to gather in multiple living areas including outstanding screened porch and great deck on the back of the home. Richly decorated and furnished house felt like home. Great place for outdoor games including soccer, football, and a great half-court basketball area.

We did a family vacation here with 4 adult couples, and we appreciated the Chrismas decorations. It was a great place for family dinners, including extended family guests. The Master Bedroom was large and exceptional, and very private from the rest of the house. The home was in great shape, although we did have one plumbing issue which was quickly addressed by the owner. The entertainment areas were extensive, with three adjoining sitting areas and one big eating area for 8, all attached to a splendid open kitchen with several bar stools. We did convert one of the sitting areas to another eating area one evening in order to accommodate a dinner party for 15. (We used the picnic table from the porch.) One night we enjoyed a large fire in the fireplace, and several nights we used the grill on the back portch. The number and size of TVs in the house was great, and with a lot of New Years football on, we really enjoyed the TVs. The kitchen was well supplied for 8 people, but we did have to go with plastic ware and paper plates when the numbers for meal time got larger. The ladies would also recommend a visit to the Viking Cooking School in Franklin. Overall it was a great vaction spot, and one we highly recommend.

The house is just gorgeous! The pics don't do it justice at ll. So many extra touches and the beds were amazingingly comfortable. There is plenty of room to spread out. I hired a spa company to come in and do massages for my staff and that was fantastic. It was nice not to have to spend a full day at a spa waiting for them to be able to get to all of us. I also hired a yoga instructor to come to the house on Saturday morning and teach a group class. It was fantastic to have the room space to do that. I highly recommend this property and plan to take my family there in the future. The owner was very accomodating and helpful. Great trip!!

We enjoyed a relaxing wedding weekend at Villa Toscana. The residence provided our extended family with a centralized place to stay during attending wedding festivities in the Brentwood and Franklin areas. The owner's attention to detail exceeded our expectations and we wanted for nothing during our visit. The amenities offered mirrored that of a 5-star hotel while maintaining the comforts of home. We were impressed with the information the owners relayed to us before, during and after our stay -- we definitely would stay here again the next time we find ourselves in the neighborhood.

We loved everything about this place. There were 8 women staying here from various parts of the country and the size of the house was perfect. The photos accurately portray what you get - but it looks even better in person. We took full advantage of the outdoor grill and dining opportunities even though it was late October, and we had a nice roaring fire every night (with wood provided by the owner). You are close to downtown Franklin which has adorable shops and just down the highway from a large mall in Cool Springs. Grocery stores are nearby and you are within the pizza delivery areas. Downtown Nashville is less than 30 minutes away as well and it's worth the trip to stay here.

The owner was very helpful in giving local advice and provides a concierge service if desired. We all decided if we come back to Nashville for another girls' getaway, we will definitely stay here again.

The Perfect Nashville Lodging

Villa Tuscana is truly one of the best rentals we have ever experienced. The property location is perfect for all Nashville activities; a 25 min trip to the Opry and airport, a 20 min trip downtown, and sits right in the middle of Civil War history. The town of Franklin overflows with great restaurants, good shopping, friendly and helpful people, and great Civil War sites to visit.

We were so impressed with the cleanliness of this home. The bedding is lovely and the towels plentiful, soft and fluffy. The kitchen is gorgeous, all the technology works well and the owners have taken lots of time to leave instructions for everything. It is beautifully decorated with quality furniture and accessories. The screen porch is wonderful and overlooks an expansive and very private, well cared for yard. What a gorgeous spot for a wedding, family reunion or other special event. Every detail is in order!

The owners live nearby and are on call, caring and attentive. They love their home and it shows! I would highly recommend this home for a special event or just a visit to this beautiful part of the country. I know we would stay no other place next time we visit.

We had a girls weekend (group of 10) and chose Villa Toscana to stay. It was FAR nicer than expected. The pictures are nice but really do not do it justice. Each room is professionally decorated and has so many ammenities (those you would find at a very upscale hotel) but so much better than staying in a hotel because it is surrounded by 11 acres. We would definately choose this location again!

We were here as the family of the groom. The home was absolutely beautiful, spacious and relaxing. Mr. Carmen was very gracious and gave us some details of the decorating of the house. I would like to return to Tennessee to get in some sightseeing and we would definitely love to rent this lovely home again. Its seclusion made it ideal. Our family convened at the "Villa Tuscana" for our wedding. We could not have selected a more perfect spot to relax, unwind, and celebrate our joyous occasion than this. Extremely convenient location to historic Franklin, TN & Nashville, yet had the feel of being far away, maybe even Italy! Loved the attention to detail and the extra special attention Bill took to make our stay just perfect! Our family is still raving, and so are we!

We absolutely did not want to leave, and are already planning another visit soon. The photos don't do this unique home justice. We will be talking about our stay at "The Villa" for a long time to come.

Owner response:Villa Toscana is an ideal setting for any special occassion such as weddings, rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, family gatherings, shopping trips, and we're honored to share our home with such wonderful guests as Rick and his family. We look forward to others celebrating similar joyous occassions and will always pay attention to the details that make this a unique location and experience for you and your guests. It was also nice to hear that Chef Mary felt right at home in the Italian Cucina preparing a family style meal for your 16 guests that attended the dinner party. We look forward to your return !!
