Wonderful Place w/ Great Staff and Service!

March 24, 2013

This is a great place to stay if vacationing in Negril. It is right across the street from the beach and right in the middle of the 7 mile beach. It is very spacious and has multiple decks where you can relax, play cards, or just take in the scenery. The staff is very helpful and willing to provide rides to wherever you may want. If you don't feel like cooking, they have a convenience store where you can pick up snacks and a restaurant where you can get some of the best jerk chicken on the island. All in all, a great place to stay for both families and large groups!

Wonderful experience

December 7, 2012

We had a lovely stay in this house for 4 nights. It was immaculately kept (despite the odd pesky bug!) and we had more than enough space for the 6 of us. The location of the house is right along Norman Manley Road in Negril, tucked in behind some trees so the house stays cool. The people who live nearby are extremely helpful and friendly and treated us like family. There is also beach access right across the street, which we took advantage of every day. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking to have a unique and relaxed experience in beautiful Negril.

Great family house

September 1, 2011

Enjoyed our stay immensely. The hosts were helpful and pleasant. Took trips with the resident driver and saw some real Jamaican countryside. Really wonderful people. Ate in a couple of nights but so many restaurants close by. Convenient to the beach. Recommend for families and up to 3 couples.

Great hangout!

January 14, 2011

This house was perfect for our two families to congregate in. It is fully loaded with WiFi and Cable, and we loved the grill in the backyard and the kitchen had everything we needed. I loved the decor and the four upstairs decks were so cool. We will recommend it to all of our friends and I can't wait to stay there again.

The Dirty

Experience the real Jamaica.

August 18, 2009

I stayed at the Devon house with 7 people. It was ok. The house was comfortable for all of us, even with inadequate A.C. the superpowered ceiling fans keep it cool. It's safe as well. The people there are nice, but they have very poor communication with Marni who is part owner, but lives in Boston and handles the reservations. She quoted us one price for our stay and airport transportation, and when we got there Devon and the people who run the complex gave us a different story. As with everything else in Jamaica negotiate and pay for everything up front. We made the mistake of running a tab for Tallman's driving services and it was a huge headache settling it at the end of our trip. The best way to get around town is by scooter $25 for 24 hrs. After we got back Marni contacted me several times accusing us of putting drugs in the ice cube trays therefore poisoning the maid. I was pretty shocked, although impressed with her imagination. I would still go back though, I love the place.

Devon's House

March 15, 2009

We had a group of 7 people who stayed here and it was absolutely perfect for us. We were right on the 7 mile strip in Negril, across from Coco la Palm the resort (they didn't mind that we used their lounge chairs & bar!). Three bathrooms with showers in each, and the kitchen came with all the necssary utensils. Be careful for the mosquitoes, so try and keep the doors closed, but the windows have screens so you can let the beautiful beach breeze in. There is a store to buy water, snacks and alcoholic beverages right at the end of the driveway and delicious Jamaican Patties and Jerk Chicken at your fingertips. The house is safe and tucked back behind many mini cabins, although it's not on the beach there is a beautiful view of the mountains & the beach is a 3 minute walk away. Four upstairs balconies, a deck downstairs and a very comfortable environment. Dolores, Devon and Tallman helped us out with everything. I highly recommend this house to anyone who is considering it!

Devon House

June 10, 2008

We had a good stay for 9 days in the Devon House. It was great to have 1 house for all 7 of us. The house was always comfortable even though only 1 room had AC and the bugs were not a problem. We always felt safe there. The only problems we had were that the lock broke on 1 door and we had to cut the lock off to get a person out, and you had to light the oven and stove with a match. I would go back!

Great Vacation

February 3, 2008

We had a great time in Negril, and have already reserved a spot for our next holiday. We stayed for four weeks and didn't want to go home. Friendly people, beautiful beach, warm clear water, and great weather. What more could you ask for. The house was clean, private and lots of room.
