Area Description
Netarts is a relatively undiscovered* village near pristine Netarts Bay and the beach that runs south from Oceanside. Beach has views of the Three Arch Rocks, a national bird sanctuary. Close to crabbing, ocean and river fishing for trout and salmon, hiking, biking, kayaking, restaurants, a tavern, a bar, gift shops and two groceries. Six miles west of Tillamook on the Netarts Highway.
*Though Netarts and Oceanside are the closest beach towns to Portland, they remain less touristy because they are not on Hwy. 101, the major Oregon Coast north-south thoroughfare.
Reviews for this vacation cabin rental in Netarts, Oregon
My family and I truly enjoyed the cabin and it's central location to all we wanted to see and do. It had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable. We hope to go again next year. Thanks, Marijane Jones
David,
We cannot say enough about your place. It is one of the most beautiful cabins we ever stayed in. Your attention to details is amazing. We could smell all the fresh pine wood as soon as we stepped inside. The bath tub was to die for..We were concerned about no cable but we must admit we never missed it. We spent so much time on the beach and out on the deck grilling that TV was not even on our minds. We did have one day of rain and so we headed to Josi's Bayside Market right down the road on Crab Avenue and rented a few DVD's. We finally took a tour at the Tillamook Cheese and really enjoyed shopping in their store. As for groceries Safeway & Fred Myer were both excellant for groceries. Of course you need to go to Mo's for clam chowder. We went to Lincoln City which is a beautiful drive. Of course everyday we walked the beach. It was great to be able to get on the beach so close to the house and be able to walk all the way to Oceanside.
We will be back....
We spent a very relaxing week in this little cottage. The atmosphere is one of uncluttered carefree living. Netarts is a small out of the way community and if you are looking for quiet this is your place. Even though the cabin is not on the beach it is very close and we enjoyed crabbing and clamming in the bay not even a mile away. The walk on the beach from Netarts to Oceanside is wonderful with lots to see and enjoy. I would reccommend this little cabin to anyone who wants to get away from the rush of everyday life. Sit back and enjoy.
