Description of the New Braunfels vacation chalet rental

Imagine a Colorado style wood cabin with elegant amenities on the gorgeous, lush Guadalupe River. The cabin is a two story with two master bedrooms downstairs, The living room has large comfy couches, imposing stone fireplace, dining table and kitchen with fine appliances. There is a large deck off the kitchen with cute outdoor bar stools along the railing. The large stone patio below is ideal for outdoor dining, entertaining and grilling dinner. Corporate events have often been held at the house and small weddings would be lovely! Upstairs there is a cosy loft with a huge flat screen and a couple of futons and a card table. The loft has a stunning view of the river with a small balcony.

Area Information

River Road is a twelve mile stretch of stunning Hill Country beauty along the Guadalupe River. Four bridges cross the river beginning just outside of Gruene with the first crossing.
Ponderosa is near the third crossing and it is a private neighborhood on the other side of the river. There is a one lane bridge that takes guests to the Ponderosa side. The house is a mile or two down on the right of the bridge. Thousands of tubers, fishing boats, fly fishing and kayakers will float by! Very private, isolated and exquisite hill country beauty!

Outfitters who rent tubes and sell cold beer, are everywhere! They can also guide guests to a fun, safe float.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

River Road is a busy place in the summer season. Ponderosa offers peaceful serenity because it is off the main road. You have to cross a tiny bridge to get to it. It is very close to the third crossing and in the middle of the 12 miles of River Road. Guadalupe Ice House, Gruene Hall, Whitewater all have live music nearby. Shuttle buses are available too.

We have waited for a year to have this lovely home in our rental pool. It is a smaller house than most anc can only sleep 6 adults and two kids. The waterfront is amazing and the house is so cosy and feels like a cabin in the mountains!
No guests yet, but I am sure there will be soon!!
