 Atmosphere Abounds!!, April 22, 2008
By Jamie Tompkins (Flower Mound, Tx)
The owners obviously take great pride in this home and it's beautiful grounds. The color of the river is incredible...and the shaded grounds are lush and calming to the soul. The comfort and cleanliness of the house is a particular joy. There is every amentity you could want: updated home, river access, hot tub, fire pit, room to play and all the privacy you need! It's close to historic Gruene, San Marcos, and San Antonio sites...but there is plenty to enjoy without ever leaving the property!! We couldn't have asked for more. We will certainly return again and again.

 Great getaway, November 28, 2007
By Gysle (Dallas, Texas)
Cool place in a great setting. Walk to Gruene Hall or town square. Can't even see the neighbors through the trees. We will return in the summer to enjoy the river.

 Relaxing get-away, November 20, 2007
By A. DeLaRosa (houston, tx)
Only con i can mention pertains only to those who have trouble w/stairs. If someone has trouble in that department, this might not be the best pick. However...for those who don't have trouble......It's great! Very well kept. The acreage of the lot makes it very peaceful and adds to the feeling of truly getting away!

 Secluded Wonder, October 12, 2007
By Norman (Weatherford Texas)
If you want the peace and quite of the beautifull hill country but want close to all you could ever want to do this is the place!! We had the best time watching our kids smile as they swung over the guadalupe then letting go of the rope to make a giant splash in the river. The fishing was great, largemouth bass, bream and catfish. Plus at night the hot tub was the best after all the shopping in historic Gruene. I had a hard time deciding what tasted better, the ribeye on the grill you guys have outside or the slow roasted ribs we had at the famous Griss Meal restraunt. The hot tub also came in handy after a night dancing at Texas's oldest dance hall. The house was perfect. The views were great fro every romm and we loved the deer that made their home on your land. If you want a loaded October rent this place, I know we will again. Lida thanks so much.

 A Special Weekend, September 5, 2007
By Susan S. (Austin,Tx)
My husband and I recently stayed at this cottage and had such a relaxing time. We sat on the dock and watch the river flow by, and even tried a bit of fishing. At night we went to the Gruene Music Hall and had a great time dancing. The house is such a short distance from Gruene it made it very convenient for shopping and exploring. What I loved the most about this cottage, however, were the grounds...the privacy and the relaxing sound of the river. We highly recommend staying here and hope to return in the late Fall for another getaway !

 Great get away !!!, July 14, 2007
By Shelly R. (Mendocino, Ca.)
This was my family's 2'nd summer to stay at this wonderful home on the river. The kids loved pitching their tent on the spacious grounds and playing cowboys and Indians. We roasted marshmellows out in the pit and told ghost stories one night. During the day we could tube just off the dock down the Guadelupe and or go into Gruene and window shop. The privacy was a treat and we returned home MUCH relaxed. We will be booking again, and are telling our friends.
