Description of the New Braunfels vacation home rental

This beautiful single story home is the largest of the Lake Placid vacation homes. With 4600 sq ft of living area, it provides plenty of space for even the largest party. The 2+ acre backyard sports a park like setting surrounded by channel frontage. Lake Placid is part of the Guadalupe river and is a constant level lake. This property makes a good choice for hosting weddings and church events.

Have a jetski or boat? No problem, there is a public boat ramp in the area.

Enjoy swimming? The home also features a private inground swimming pool.

Have an RV? The property has 2 private RV hookups. Wait till you see the kitchen! It's large enough to accommodate 3 dining room tables! Whether you like fishing, swimming or just relaxing, large resort has it all with plenty of space to boot.

Area Information

Lake Placid is a section of the Guadalupe River. It is a constant level river unaffected by the current drought. We are located on Lake Placid (Guadalupe River) 1 mile from IH10 for those traveling from Houston or San Antonio.

Some of the activities in the area include Schlitterbahn, Seaworld, Fiesta Texas, San Marcos Outlet Mall, San antonio zoo, the Alamo and the San Antonio Riverwalk. There are other activities in the area.

Nice, but not quite as expected

The house was older, as indicated, but was a really good option for families with children. We had been told there were NO steps on bottom floor, (father has mobility issues), and there were several up and down spots. One bathroom and shower was oddly arranged and not easily used. Otherwise, the property was nice. The pool was a welcome respite from the heat. River wasn't all that accessible, but cove had wildlife which children enjoyed. The grill was rather small, especially considering possible numbers in the house. Glassed patio was very nice. Beds were all in good condition, place was clean when we got there and for the price, a good experience overall.

Senior Class Trip

22 High School Seniors & 4 adult chaperones spent 4 nights in this home. The accommodations were comfortable and worked very well for our group. Kitchen and dining areas were roomy and allowed us to get meals prepared and served quickly. We had a problem with the stove that was resolved within 24 hours, which worked out fine, since we went to the beach in Corpus Christi during the day while it was out of commission. We enjoyed using the pool, sand volleyball court, and basketball court. The bedrooms were comfortable, and their locations made it possible to keep the boys in 1 part of the home and girls in the other. The living room areas were very nice and we were able to have the whole group in one place when we wanted to have activities together. The home was a very good value for the price, and it worked very well for our group. Thanks.

Its a great spot. If you want a family atmosphere this is the place. We loved the kitchen because we could all get in there and eat a meal together. It was 19 of us and unless you want to start sleeping on the floor we thought it was full. We have rented this place before and had a great time also. The person that rents it is top notch. He was very helpfull when we had a question about the tv. He was so nice i almost felt like I needed to give him a tip.
