Description of the New Harbor vacation cottage rental

This charming 2BR cottage is located steps away from the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean in the heart of Maine's beautiful Midcoast Region. Wake to the sunrise over the water and view Monhegan Island in the distance. This fully equipped heated cottage is ready for your relaxing Maine vacation and has everything you will need, including a fully equipped library, satellite TV, wireless internet and telephone. Located on a private road, the only sounds you will hear are the waves as they wash up on the rocks. Sit on the full length deck and enjoy your morning coffee and watch the lobsterboats as they haul their traps, perhaps catching your evening meal. Located a short drive away are a fully equipped grocery, several fine restaurants, our scenic lighthouse at Pemaquid Point, our beautiful beach and many other interesting places to visit. The cottage has a full bath with shower, a fully equipped kitchen with spacious dining area, and an outdoor barbecue grill. We supply all linens, so all you'll need to do is arrive and unpack. Please note rentals are weekly from Saturday to Saturday.

Located in New Harbor, a charming working fishing village, The Loft guest cottage is privately located yet close to restaurants, shopping, the grocery store, the gas station, the library, Pemaquid lighthouse, Pemaquid beach and our wonderful working fishing harbor. Shaw's Wharf is located right on the dock allowing you to enjoy a lobster in the rough while watching the lobstermen unload their catch. And don't forget your camera as the photo-ops are boundless.

What a great find! Incredible views, nicely appointed two bedroom cottage. Wonderful hosts/owners live next door. Plenty to do within a few miles including the day trip to Monhegan Island and great restaurants and galleries.

My wife and I have rented â��The Loftâ�� from Tom and Becky Wales for many years during August. During July we have rented ocean front property in Maine from Bailey Island north to Owl's Head along the rocky coast.

There are reasonably few ocean front homes at summer rental in Maine. â��The Loftâ�� has one of the best ocean views of all and is situated just about 100 feet from huge rocks and the breaking waves sending spray into the air and lulling you to sleep at night. The place is located on a road lined with high value homes, most with year round residents. So, this is not â��touristy' but upscale.

The house itself is attractive and as artistic as your own home. It is not a cabin. The front living area and kitchen is replete with floor to ceiling sliding doors to an outside deck. The two bedrooms have comfortable beds and storage. The bathroom is modern. The kitchen is both modern and complete.

Nearby Shaw's Lobster pier is outstanding. Several miles south dining at the
Bradley Arms is elegant. Convenient in the small port town of New Harbor is a complete grocery and liquor store, bank, garage, and hardware store. A golf course is nearby.

This is our home away from home while we are there. It is unique. Enjoy!
