Description of the New Harbor vacation guesthouse rental
Just off the water's edge on John's Bay, this property is the ideal honeymoon cottage, romantic getaway, or nature-lover's retreat. It is serene, private, and off-the-beaten-path with a one-mile access road. "The Osprey" comes with 700 feet of shoreline property and a small gravel beach which is teeming with wildlife. Kayak, dock, float, and mooring available. Located near Pemaquid Lighthouse and beach, Monhegan ferry from New Harbor, and the Damariscotta & Boothbay Harbor areas. Perfect for a couple or small.

Sleeping Arrangments: The Osprey's Nest is ideally set up for a couple and a couple of children under 16. There is a designated, private bedroom, as well as a semi-private sleeping area with a sleep sofa and extra mattress for comfort. Occpancy for the Osprey's Nest is two, with two children, unleuss prior arrangements are made. This is an effort to maintain the privacy of guests. Additional guests are permitted, but will have an accompanying surcharge.
Option to rent an outboard motorboat: 20' Grady White 150HP; 16' Aqua Nautica 25HP; and 10' Avon inflatable 7.5HP, and a 16' Old Town Sea Kayak. Moorings and dock on property. *Ocean competency required. The use of the skiff, float, and dock is free. There are kayak rentals in the area.

We do not provide housekeeping services. Guests are responsible for their own cleaning and any necessities over and above the basic ones provided.
Sat-Sat rental week, in-season (Jul, Aug, Sep). Linens are provided - but we prefer (for hygiene reasons) those who are able to bring their own pillows.

Area Information
Located on Pemaquid Pennisula, three miles to New Harbor, Pemaquid Point Light House, Pemaquid Beach, and Bristol Mills swimming dam. Take Hardy Boat to Monhegan Island, Whale Watch out of Boothbay, or dine at multiple restaraunts in Damaricotta, Round Pond, and Christmas Cove. 160 miles from Boston, and 100 miles from Bar Harbor.

Utter relaxation!

My wife and I spent a week here and explored the best of the Maine mid-coast. The loft apartment was over the garage, but was clean, has a great view, and was perfect for the 2 of us. Mike made sure we felt welcome and provided for all that we needed. There was plenty to do in the local area, so much that we didn't even get a chance to try out the kayaks. The fresh steamers and lobsters that were provided were a real treat. We didn't want to leave, and will look to come back again soon. Highly recommended!
