Description of the New Orleans vacation b&b rental

Owner operators Schuyler Hoffman and David Peterson invite you to relax and enjoy your stay in New Orleans in their traditional Creole Cottage. Originally built in the late 1800's, it was renovated in the mid 1990's. What we have tried to create is a home, not just bedrooms for guests—it is, after all, our home. Furnishings are a mix of some of our favorite antiques and newer things—interesting pieces we find at yard sales, hidden antique shops, and such. Each room contains personal photographs and artwork, and memorabilia we've accumulated over the years. Everyone looking for a bed and breakfast looks for a place that fits their personality, a place they'll be comfortable in for more than just sleeping each night. We hope many of you will find that place with us.

Area Information

Located at 1744 N. Rampart Street in New Orleans’ historic Faubourg Marigny, two blocks from the French Quarter and four blocks from Frenchman Street (popular with the neighborhood's locals), at Chez Palmiers you'll be within easy walking distance of many of the sites, restaurants, bars and clubs, and the characters and music that have made New Orleans famous. Public transportation is not far way, making it easy to explore other parts of the city as well.

Other Fees: Any lost keys, or keys not left at departure and not returned in a timely manner will incur a $25 replacement fee. Any damages to the premises and property--including furnishings, appliances, artwork, linens, bedding, etc.--will incur a fee for repair or replacement at repair or replacement value. Any fees incurred will be charged to the credit card used for your reservation or such other remuneration agreed to.

This is a lovely place to relax and unwind. Very clean and neat. The owners are fabulous! Woke up to coffee and breakfast. What a way to start a day! The porch swing and winding staircase were the perfect added touch to a great stay!

We stayed here for 5 days at the end of October. It is the perfect spot! Away from the noise of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, yet close enough to walk there when you want. Owners are friendly and accomodating and the bed was comfy. Will definitely stay again!

A home away from home!

David and Schuyler are the most welcoming and accommodating hosts. Anytime we had a question, they had an answer--and options (!) for us. The house is gorgeous and incredibly comfortable--we all felt completely at home the whole time we were there. It's very close to the French Quarter, so we didn't have any problems getting around at all. A lovely visit. We'll definitely stay there again on our next visit to New Orleans.

This was a great find. It was very affordable and the owners were so nice and laid back. The location was great. My boyfriend, his teenage daughter and I stayed here while in New Orleans on vacation and we loved it. We stayed in the loft room which was perfect because she had a section to herself which had cable t.v. They also had a very nice pool. I can't imagine a better place to stay in New Orleans.

A:Aside from hanging out with the charming hosts by the pool, the most fun things to do are experiencing the French Quarter and our neighborhood gem Frenchmen Street.

A:We are not fancy people. Our bed and breakfast is not fancy. We think we've been pretty successful creating a comfy, warm place that our guests can feel at home, where they feel like they're visiting friends.
