Keywords: In the heart of the French Quarter, this lovely and secluded pied a terre is just four and a half blocks away from Jackson Square and ½ a block from Armstrong Park. Dating back to the early 1800’s, this stucco structure was the slave quarter to the main house, and both are excellent examples of early Creole architecture. The neighborhood was that of free people of color and the famed Voodoo priestess, Marie Laveau, lived just two doors away. This beautifully furnished and appointed residence sleeps five and consists of two bedrooms with one bath between and a large fully furnished kitchen. A balcony with stunning roof top views is accessible from both bedrooms and overlooks a large courtyard that guests have full access to. There are laundry facilities on the premises. Cable and internet are both provided.

When I decided to take my 2 girls, ages 21 and 24, to New Orleans for a "Girls Getaway" , I opted on a rental rather than hotel for a more authentic flavor of the French Quarter. This property fit us perfectly. It was just as described... newly renovated, tastefully decorated, immaculate and centrally located so we were able to walk everywhere. From the moment we pulled up in front of the cottage, we fell in love with it. Opening the door we felt right at home! I can't tell you how many times during our stay that my girls commented on how happy they were that I had chosen this cottage, how much they loved the place and how this choice had enhanced their experience in NOLA. The owner was very responsive and did everything possible to accommodate our travel needs. Thanks so much! As this was our first time to New Orleans, we started our visit with a Tastebuds Tour and Cocktail Tour for a quick exposure to the cuisine and ended the week with a swamp tour with Airboat Adventures. We all agreed that it was a great way to sandwich our visit! We will be back again!
