Description of the New Orleans vacation home rental
This is a Historical Greek Cottage built in 1853. It is included as 15 on the Architectural Carrollton Tour Guide. It is conveniently located off of Oak Street and near Carrollton Avenue. Within walking distance there are wonderful coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, banks, live music, Trolley cars and more.
The house has 3 California King beds, a queen bed, a full sized and additional air mattresses.There is only 1 independent bedroom in the hopuse. We also have an energy efficient apartment . There are 3 bathrooms: 2 with a shower, and 1 with an antique claw foot bathtub with a hand held shower. The comfortable living room has an 80 inch TV with cable and stereo surround sound, DVD/VCR player. There is a fully equipped kitchen as well as an outdoor patio with BBQ and Propane boiling equipment.
We are a block from the famous Jacques-Imos Restaurant, the Ninja Sushi , the Maple Leaf Bar and the French Gallery. The Audubon Park are less than a mile, and both Loyola and Tulane University are about a mile away. The French Quarter and business district are just a trolley car away. You can reach your destination in about 7 minutes by car and perhaps 10 minutes by public transportation. The Fairgrounds are about 10 minutes away.
This lazy laid back nostalgic home is 2 blocks from the Mighty Mississippi River. The 'slave quarter' has been renovated into an efficiency apartment.
This is a perfect home away from home where you can easily access many New Orleans Festivals. New Orleans is a city like no other. Enjoy the architecture, food, music, shopping, parades, and adventures.
