Description of the New Paltz vacation b&b rental

Welcome to Stone Porch B & B. Located in the mountains 1.5 hours from NYC accessible by train and bus, we have one bedroom with a half bath that has currently one full size bed and a roll away bed is available for a child. The sunny and well lit room is privately located in the front of the house near the front door. There is a shared bath upstairs. Our house is 100 years old and has a lovely porch to enjoy. We are walking distance for apple picking, 5-7 minute drive to the Village of New Paltz for the library, childrens activities, yoga classes, hiking, biking, quaint shops and resturants and SUNY New Paltz and the Mohonk Moutain House and Preserve. We are close to a farm stand. We are pet friendly and have a dog and cat. Arrangements in advance, schedule permitting can be made for babysitting and dog walking for a small fee. We provide breakfast and healthy nutritious food. Arrangements can be made for special diets ( vegan, vegetarian or gluten free ) with advance notice. The owner is a real estate broker and can assist you in real estate investing, and take you to see houses. Private meditation classes are available for a fee with advance notice.

Area Description

New Paltz is conveniently located 1.5 hours from NYC in the mountains and near the world known Mohonk Mountain House, the Bershires, and less than an hour from Albany. Across the river is Historic Rhinebeck, Historic Vanderbilt and FDR estates and shopping Malls. The Village of New Paltz is well known for it quaint shops, easy walking trails, coffee cafes, resturants of many cultures, new library, and movie theatre. Nearby towns of Rosendale and Kingston have many cultural opportunities for theatre, music, fairs,children and outdoor activities. Whether you want to kick back or go apple picking, sit for coffee, go the park for the children,eat lunch in a healthy or vegan resturant, Hike or bike, find great photoghraphy, mountain climb, visit art galleries,or hear music, New Paltz and surrounding area has it all.

Golf is less than a mile away, we are easy to access from the Thruway, there is a diner within 2 miles and a green grocer under a mile, convenience stores near by, yet the house is quiet and feels like a meditative country retreat.
New Paltz is famous for its resturants with a variety of cultures to choose from.
