West Michigan Enchanted Cottage -SYLVAN LAKE

> You can spend hours just relaxing on the HUGE 12 X 25 foot screened porch. Grab a great book, read and listen to nothing but the breeze.
> You and the kids are only a few steps away to a sandy beach.
> You can play on the floating dock "THE ARC" 10 feet by 10 feet. It has 8, 55 gallon barrels holding it up. It is very stable. It is great for fishing or playing "king" of the dock with the kids.
> You can swim in the beautiful emerald green water. In the mornings you can see the fish swimming (from the screened porch) its so clear. On calm days you can see 15-20 feet down.
> You can walk around the woods. Feel like you're in a secluded cabin with woods all around to explore.
> You can take the canoe around the lake or under the bridge to Emerald Lake and visit where the barges hauled there cargo in the late 1800 's to early 1900 's.
> You can snorkel.
> You can visit Turtle Island in the canoe.
> You can enjoy a bon fire down at the lake, and roast marshmellows.

NEW THIS YEAR:

1. Also took out the 2 little windows facing the lake and put in 2 5 foot by 6 foot picture windows. Now you can really see the lake from anywhere in the living room. Enjoy a quiet dinner inside and watch the fun down on the lake.

Fall Fun:

1. Sylvan Lake is surrounded by hills and the trees turn beautiful colors in the fall.
2. Take a walk or bike ride around the lake and take in all the wonderful colors.
3. Take a canoe ride out to Turtle Island.
4. Walk the trails behind the cottage and enjoy more color.
5. The cottage is a great place to have your hunting lodge.
6. The cottage is a few miles from Manistee National Forest.

WINTER FUN:

1. Bring your snowmobiles for a great time. You can park them right next to the cottage, so when your ready, its just start them up and take the back trail to Newaygo Rec Snowmobile trail. The trails lead all over West Michigan.

2. Pleanty of great ice fishing, Pike, Blue Gills, Bass and Walleye and several others. Cook them fresh in the large well furnished kitchen.

Dowtown Newaygo is a small town that offers many things.

There always seems to have an event going on during the weekend.

Downtown you can go rafting on the Muskegon River. They rent out rafts you go as long as you want.

There are many small places to eat as well as the known fast food (Mc Donalds, Wendy's,...).

Plenty of shopping: from antiques to fishing and tackle.

There is a nice size food shopping store also.

Michigan Adventure is just a small drive away.

Grand Rapids is 35 min. In the summer there are many things happening, Meijer Gardens, John Ball Park Zoo, MANY FESTIVALS downtown, Art Prize...

Emerald Lake has a kids lib. its free, just walk or bike around the lake. Someone has build it on top of their garage. Free water a kids table and seats, rent out a video. They are donated by neighbors on the lake
