Description of the Newport vacation b&b rental

Individual rooms with separate baths, beautifully appointed with a taste of historic England. Walk to the ocean and enjoy our fine selection of tea with each stay. Located in a historic ocean front district called Nye Beach, in Newport, Oregon. Lots of shops, wine tastings, great restaurants, art galleries, preforming arts center with live theatre and movies, all within 1-2 blocks.

We also have a vacation rental cottage, sleeps 8 with a full kitchen, across the street from the ocean for families with children or pets.

Area Information

Enjoy the bustling bayfront town of Newport, dine in fine restaurants, visit the Rogue Brewery, browse through galleries and souvenir shops, take a surf lesson, pamper yourself at a nearby spa, shop the extensive Lincoln City Outlet stores, build sandcastles on the beach, fly kites... or, just cozy up in front of the fire, eat a great meal at one of the many delicious restaurants within walking distance, go wine tasting or watch a movie!

Historic Nye Beach is just a 2.25 hour drive from Portland, a short 1.5 hour drive from Salem, and a brief 1 hour drive from Corvallis. It is also accessible by air via the Newport Airport.

The room we had was absolutely unique. We felt totally secure and never locked our door. A place where you felt like you could walk bare foot just like at home. Claire and the others couldn't do enough for us. If we had a question about a event or happening in town they would get us a answer. We would totally recommend it to anyone that wants a different and at home experience.

I felt like I'd traveled to an English seaside

B and B and gone back to the 1950s The atmosphere was so great, the service wonderful, and the ocean and everything I wanted to do was within walking distance of this adorable place! No jet lag too and the breakfast was much better than anything I'd ever has in the Uk.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Claire, Lucinda, and Fletcher were all so gracious and accommodating. Complimentary bottles of wine awaited us upon our arrival. The breakfasts, served in the solarium, were outstanding. The sunny, enclosed room also provided a wonderful atmosphere for reading--day or night. The location was fabulous: 1/2 block from Nye Beach, near many shops and restaurants (Cafe Mundo has excellent food and music, Cafe Stephanie and Nana's Irish Pub offer wonderful cuisine, too). We look forward to many return trips.

Awesome time on the coast

We took our daughter to Newport for her 10th birthday and had a great time. We watched whales from our deck at the condo. The condo itself was clean and comfortable. All in all a great experience. The only problem we had the directions were a little weird and the condo had a different name on the building than Surf and Sand.

English charm without the stuffy

Very nicely appointed rooms, tastefully done in old English stye noo excess of opulence or of knick knack claustrophobia. Lots of fun little oddities of design- our bathroom door was built into a wall with shelves and not clearly a door- very Sherlock! Comfy beds, charming hostess and charming gift shop below. Solarium in back is a big plus for Oregon coastal climate. One mini-fridge for the floor, good for a few things. Breakfast was yummy. Very quiet EXCEPT- crowd spilling out of bar next door kept waking us up til 2:30 Saturday night. Solution: get the room in the back, away from the bar. You miss the nice street view but it's quiet. We shall return!
