Whales, eagles, and fossils-- oh my!

Thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay here, on a bluff overlooking miles of sandy beach, surf, and endless ocean. The home was clean, comfortable, cozy and perfect for the seclusion we wanted - no phone, no cable, no internet to interrupt our vacation! And what a view! Eagles cruising by at eye-level, a night of whales passing by just offshore, and a glorious coastline. The restaurants in Newport served great seafood, the nearby tidepools teemed with marine life, and we even found some fossilized clam shells while beachcombing.

Cozy Beach Rental

This 2-bedroom cottage-type home sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean. A wood burning stove provides warmth within as you look out at the ocean where winter winter storms are brewing. The rental was well furnished and well stocked with quality kitchen utensils. Better TV reception would have been appreciated, but, on the otherhand, we had more time for visiting.

Comfortable Oceanfront Getaway

This home is beautifully situated with full ocean views on one of the most beautiful beaches in Oregon. The location of this property is ideal for exploring a wide range of local activies, dining options, shopping, fishing and crabbing, etc. The home is clean and comfortable but the ocean facing deck is the place to be, especially at sunset. I highly recommend it!

This house has a beautiful view and is very simple and elegant! There is a little walk to the beach but not bad. The view makes up for anything that is missing or lacking! You can sit on the deck and be at complete peace. Our little family of four had a wonderful time and look forward to staying there again!

We had a great time. The sofa bed was the most confortable sofa bed I've ever slept on. The view is spectacular and seeing some whales was a huge bonus! My only suggestion would be to mention how the beach is accessed in the description. It wasn't an issue, just a surprise that the access was down the road. Thisvacation rental home is perfect for a family that wants to spend quality time and good times together. The view of the ocean is magical and the sound is so peaceful. There is no washer or dryer if you plan to stay for a long period of time which would come in handy if there was one and the BBQ was not working while we were there but other than that it is the perfect and beautiful vacation rental home !

We enjoyed our stay. The house has an amazing view. Short walk to beach access. Very private beach. Great rock hunting. You do need to bring all your own towels and bedding, this includes hand towels for the kitchen. There is no washing machine and for a family with 2 small kids it would have been nice to have a washer/dryer. There is a laundry mat close by. Quiet neighborhood. Propoane bar b que available for use (need to purchase a camp size propane bottle). Kitchen is well stocked with needed utensils for cooking and baking. The price is good-- just keep in mind you have to clean thoroughly before you leave. The owners provide a checklist for cleaning and provide all the supplies and equipment.

We rented this home last minute and we were so glad we did. The home is cute and has everything we needed but what really sets it apart is the amazing views! The long beautiful private access beach, amazing ocean views, gray whales cruising up and down the coast! The beach is a short 5 minute walk, the aquarium a few minutes away as well as old town Newport. For the price we could not have found a better home to stay in. It was a perfect weekend for the family.

Perfect Oregon Coast Getaway

This was the first ocean experience for our 2 daughters (ages 5&8) and it couldn't have been a more ideal location for it! The view is amazing. We saw whales from the deck almost everyday. We spent hours on the private beachfront...amazing! The location is perfect...private...easy access to lots of other activities (Aquarium, Yaquina Head Lighthouse and tide pools) to name a few. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting a quiet getaway on the Oregon coast :)

We spent 3 nights at this lovely beach house. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we desired. The veiws were fantastic from the house. We could even see the lighthouse from the living room windows. We had all kinds of weather, even snow. But we also had lots of sunshine. It is all part of the Oregon Coast experience. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a cozy getaway.

The beach house is a great place to enjoy the spectacular view and walk endlessly on the beach. The house has everything you could want and the location is convenient to local attractions. We saw seals and whales while having our morning coffee on the deck. I would recommend the property to anyone who is looking for a relaxing time and spectacular views.

We had the most amazing time at this beach home! Stunning views, easy access to a beautiful & private beach, and comfortable furnishings made this a great summer trip. We flew kites at the beach, tried skimboarding (waves were perfect for this!), had a bonfire at night and, of course, our s'mores. When the moon came out, it was so amazingly bright! It seemed there were no more than three other people at the beach at any one time. Although we had to bring our own linens, it was worth it not to have to pay for cleaning fees. The home was easy to clean and very manageable. There were CDs & movies available, toys, kites, magazines, and even games to keep us busy. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to make dinner and enjoy our magnificent view. Our favorite part though was just sitting on the colorful deck chairs and just looking out into the beautiful water! We highly recommend the home for couples or small families!

Unfortunately we hit town along with the fog which finally cleared up on day three so we could actually enjoy the view. The beach is great for long walks and rock hunting. Agate Beach was all dunes and no agates when were there but great for exercise. The house was comfortable and had excellent facilities for cooking along with lots of extra condiments, etc. in the fridge and cupboards which was and unexpected treat. Definitely a great place to stay and we are hoping to come back again. It was cozy and comfortable with plenty of room for 6.

Steps from the Ocean and a Creek TOO!

We are a family of 4 with a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old. This house was PERFECT for a nice 4 day weekend. The walk down to the beach was complete with berry and flower sightings, a bridge, and a fabulous kid-friendly creek for hours of fun. That's BEFORE hitting the beach. Our time was foggy more than sunny but not a minute wasn't wonderful - waking up and going to sleep to the sound of surf. It was a fabulous first beach getaway for our 1 yr old. Moments from the Aquarium and Yaquina Lighthouse too.

This is an excellent house to stay at. It is on a cliff overlooking the ocean, which is a very beautiful view to wake up to. There is a little private path that goes down to the beach. This beach is particularly nice because their are no people! The beach is not easily accessible by the public so we were the only people on the beach! This is a great house to stay at, I hope I can go back!

This was a first for us to rent a cabin instead of a Motel. We will probably never stay in a Motel again. This experience changed all of that!! The views were wonderful,wood stove cozy while we just layed around and read, slept,took in the quiet roar of the Ocean, and oh the views early morning while sipping your coffee, watched a movie which we hadn't done in years! We seriously did not want to leave to go to town. We will stay again.Perfect prescription for a relaxing weekend.

This was certainly a beautiful spot. The ocean views from the cabin were awesome. We liked being in a quiet neighborhood but only minutes from the quaint shops of Newport. We bought a salmon right off the docks and had a delicious dinner. It was clean and comfortable. We hope to go there again some time.

This house had a fantastic view, and a great wrap-around deck that was perfect to relax on. It was outside of Newport so the light pollution didn't affect the star-gazing. Nicely stocked house, big enough for 4, at a a very good price, as long as you don't mind cleaning up after yourself. If you have kids, be careful of the cliff edge right outside! Loved it. Will probably come back if it stays the value vacation rental it is now.

We had a great experience on our weekend getaway. The home is nice, clean & in a nice neighborhood. The path to the beach is paved, and very easy to maneuver. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the views are awesome from the covered deck. We will definitely come back on our next trip to Newport!

A very good value and family-friendly place. Incredible views of a beautiful and quiet expansive beach. The house was warm and welcoming with nearly everything we needed. The beach was an easy short walk down a path; very quiet and peaceful. The sound of the ocean and the bizillion stars at night made it a very cleansing and de-stressing break. Limited cell and blackberry reception which was also quite nice as it forced the total escape from the hustle and bustle of life. We look forward to staying here again.

We rented this beach house for 9 days as a spot to get our family together for the first time in many years. The view was great! The house was well equipped with everything we needed. It took us a while to figure out where the trail was, to the beach. We found it on the second day, and took daily walks. The house is away from the busy city, but close enough to enjoy the attractions and shop for anything we needed. Warning: we could not get cell phone signals, and there was not good TV reception. The TV was not hooked to cable. There was a DVD/VCR player, and a good variety of movies. Also, don't plan on using the sofa bed for sleeping - some of the springs are broken, and it is very lumpy. They did have foam fold-out beds that were very comfortable. These were minor glitches, but things to be aware of and plan for. In all - we enjoyed our stay and had a great time. My favorite things: walking barefoot on the beach, and falling asleep while listening to the ocean waves!!

We really enjoyed our stay - excellent view and very quiet neighborhood. Great access to the beach. A very cozy and comfortable house and just the right size for five of us - and very easy to clean. We were happy not having to add a cleaning fee. If the information is available, we are curious of the asking price for the house, as we noticed it is for sale. Thank you!

What an incredible home and oceanfront deck to rest, whale watch, and take short day trips to see the magnificent pacific coast. This home is well kept, clean and has all the amenitities one could need. The owners were very helpful in guiding us to areas of interests that we would've otherwise missed. It is very affordable; can't imagine a better deal for the peace, oceanfront view, and accomodations. We'll go back!

We enjoyed the fact that we were so close to the ocean and were able to walk down to the beach pretty easily. The wood burning stove was wonderful and kept the chill away. We would definitely stay here again.
