Perched high above the beautiful Beverly Beach with a panoramic view from Newport's historic Yaquina Head Lighthouse all the way to Cape Foul Weather, you'll find this wonderful escape! Discover all there is to offer in this centrally located home away from home. This unique "getaway-from-it-all" is located between Newport and Depoe Bay. Large living room windows provide a great place to watch the whales migrate past this location twice a year. Many resident whales hang out all year long!! Better yet...enjoy amazing sunsets at dusk and the allure of the lighthouse throughout the night! The view from this location can't be beat!!
Simple Pleasures sits on a large naturally landscaped lot surrounded by trees and native vegetation. Located on a tranquil dead end street, just a short distance from beach access.
Perhaps the best aspect of renting a private house is sleeping soundly! Just imagine letting the sounds of the waves gently lull you to sleep! Now picture staying at a multiunit location, feet stomping around on your ceiling, kids screaming at all hours, and house keeping knocking on your door because you forgot to hang that silly little sign on the doorknob! Our little getaway is beginning to sound perfect right about now!
If you think the cost of renting an entire house is high, just think about the cost of renting a hotel room! Hotels average about $125 to $200 per night for a single room unit that can be noisy and, let's face it, typically lacks personality and all around coziness!
A beach house is the perfect getaway for a larger family or multiple couples looking for a private and affordable place to stay. We do not add on extra charges based on occupancy and there is plenty of room in this cozy little cottage!

Thanksgiving Weekend

What a wonderful house to spend the Thanksgiving holiday at, we cooked a wonderful meal and there was plenty of room for the whole family. It was a nice day on Thanksgiving and we were able to enjoy the firepit outside, what a treat. The house is close to Newport so we visited the Aquarium on a rainy Friday and went to the Rogue Brewerey to watch the Civil War. It was a wonderful house to visit with our daughter who is going to OSU and our son who lives in Eugene. Thank you so much for the lovely accomadations!!

We had so much fun, we almost forgot to shop!

This was the perfect choice for this special vacation. We were able to have our kid's, there spouses & our grand children under the same roof as us. We watched the whales spout from th living room windows. It was a short drive to Otter Rock where we enjoyed the tide pools. The kids really enjoyed touching the starfish & finding other animals. The seals at the lighthouse were fun. It seemed like they were watching us watch them. Lots of fun things to do like going into Newport & catching,. crabs off the dock under the bridge. We really enjoyed watching the boats come & go. Being able to go back to the house & cook a family meal with the kids running around happily playing, beats trying to keep them sitting still in a restaurant. Also after a day of playing it sure is nice to throw a load of laundry in. We didn't have to bring anything wet or stinky home. We all had a great time & felt at home. If you choose to stay here I'm sure you will have a great time!

Wonderful Beach House

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found the house to be very comfortable and well-equipped. Very conveniently located near the beach and the town of Newport, and it was exciting to be able to watch wales spouting from the comfort of the living room couch. Our 10-year-old daughter LOVED the extra bed overlooking the ocean. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to add wireless internet access - though we did find one corner of the back deck where we were able to get a connection! Thanks for the awesome experience!

Quite pleasantly surprised with how spacious and lovely this house was. We really enjoyed our stay. We especially appreciated the full bottles of shampoo & conditioner in the showers, the huge towels and the fully equiped kitchen. Everything was clean and tidy. There is lots of seating space in the living room, which is great. This was much better for us than getting 2 hotel rooms - this way our family could spend more of our time together! Even though it was not ON the beach, it was just a short way from either the bay or the beach. Very convenient. Thank you!

What a wonderful relaxing place. Magnificent Ocean views, we saw an eagle! Large table in the dining area great for crafting or game opportunities. Mostly just a place to gather yourself together for a time before having to go back to the hustle and bustle of the world. Thank you for providing such a haven of peace.

A great retreat

This place is so inviting, it calls you to come in and relax. We enjoyed the great veiw and the weather couldn't have been any better. We want to plan to go back agian with some family there is certainly enough room and space for everyone to enjoy them selfs. Not far from town or the beach so you don't have to be gone long if you just want to get food to cook meals and stay in. It is at the end of the road so no one is driving by and that makes it even more quit. LOL we even sleeped in till noon the first morning. Can't wait to return! Hope you injoy it as much as we did. Can't wait to go back. Already been here many times. If it had a hot tub, it would really be great. But even without one, I still pick this place often. It is wonderful so someone who can't walk the beach but loves to see it.

We stayed here for my mom'a 60th and what a perfect location it was. The views were amazing and the house and yard are very big. One of the couches needs a little TLC, but overall it was wonderful! We would stay here again if we ever get the chance to come back!

Relaxed by the sea

My family thoroughly enjoyed our Oregon ocean experience from this house. We put my elderly parents in the downstairs bedroom while my brother took one upstairs and my wife and I the one with the bathroom. We saw whales from the living room almost as soon as we got there! The views were exquisite: three fantastic sunsets and full rainbows (yes, a double one) on the day we left. The kitchen enabled us to cook a couple of times. We especially liked that we were midway between Newport and Depoe Bay, which allowed dining out in either to be a short drive. Also, there's a little extra privacy because it's the last house on the street. If we come back, we'll definitely rent this house again.

This house was perfect to celebrate my recent birthday. The views were absolutely amazing and the house was cozy and beautiful and the perfect size for our party. Beverly beach was just a short 2 minute drive away(or 15min walk) and the Yaquina Lighthouse was visible from the house. I will be returning to this relazing and wonderful retreat!

Perfect for Memories

We came to the house for Thanksgiving weekend so we could create some new memories after losing my husband in May. I thought we all needed a change. The house was perfect for my teens, they had places to disappear and a TV to watch. I had an awesome view of the ocean to sit and watch and relax. It's a great location, close to everything you could possibly need. The big dining room had a table big enough for all of us to play games at. The kitchen was just right for cooking a small Thanksgiving dinner. I look forward to going back. The only thing I would mention is there is no internet but my i-phone worked fine.

I spent the weekend at this home and it was all we expected and more. There were ample pots and pans to cook up our own meal, a flat screen TV with Direct TV for movie watching and a great end lot for space for children to play in. The rooms are set up with 2 rooms upstairs (one with the lost bed the other with the bathroom) and the 3rd bedroom downstairs between the bathroom and living room. A little far out (corner market closed in the winter) but if you bring all your food with you there is no reason to leave-- everything is right there!

My four sisters and I stayed with our 89 year old mother this past weekend and had the most wonderful time. The views were spectacular. Mom could experience the beauty of the ocean from a cozy sofa in front of a picture window. The house itself had so many lovely touches, and it felt like you were staying in someone's home rather than a beach rental. It was comfortable and warm and had absolutely everything we needed. We flew in from North Carolina to visit our son and his family for the Christmas Holidays. We stayed a full week, and had a wonderful time. This Rental really did exceed our expectations! It was very clean and well put together. The kitchen had everthing we needed to prepare nice meals. The views were spectacular! The many extra touches, such as bath gels, shampoos, conditioners, and wonderful soft robes made us feel right at home. I would recommend this place, and will definately try to stay there again.

We had a wonderful time at this location! It was perfect for our summer vacation. It was intimate and a fabulous location! It is homey, warm and inviting. We loved waking up each morning and looking out to enjoy the spectacular view of the ocean. We would highly recommend this location and we would love to return and already planning our next trip back. The only recommendation we would make would be to add a dresser to the room on the main floor. It would be nice to be able to have something to store belongings in and maybe a little additional lighting source for the living room. We really enjoyed our stay and the short trips to the beach.

Our family loved this home and the fantastic views. We loved watching the ocean and the whales that went by. The house was even better than we thought with a large yard for the kids to play in and a large living room for together time. It made our vacation to the coast even more enjoyable than ever. We were thrilled to stay and the only problem was when our vacation ended. We are already planning our vacation for next year and hope to stay in the same home again. The booking process was great and Susan met our every need. She went beyond expectations in trying to find a boat that we could rent. Thanks for all the help. We would recomend this house to anyone and hope to stay there again some day very soon.

What a lovely warm place

How wonderful to arrive at such a lovely place with the lights turned down low the music softly playing. The bedding was lovely and the beds comfortable. The home itself had been recently updated so nicely that the tile work and carpet were gorgeous and comfortable. The view was outstanding and the fact they provide binoculars was very considerate. The dishes and pots and pans provided in the kitchen were plenty ample. The best thing as well as the accomodations were the weather was just gorgeous. We finished our weekend with the arrival of a cute new Granddaughter on Feb. 17th. Our thanks to Susan for the courtesy she provided us. I look foreward to hopefully staying again sometime.

This was a very peaceful and cozy home. The views are unbelievable from this hilltop home. The house is very close to Newport. The beach below the house was very quiet and private. I loved the big and private lot that this house sat on. This house is a great place to rent for your vacation.

A bunch of us mommies had a time away for the weekend and this house was the perfect fit for us. The house is comfortable, clean, and very well-kept. We arrived at night and when we woke in the morning and saw the view we were amazed! The view can't be beat. I would definitely recommend this house. It's perfect!

We had an outstanding weekend in OR and we were thrilled with the accommodations! The house was charming and comfortable. We loved having a fire outside at night. And the best part was breakfast each morning out on the deck in the adirondack chairs taking in the beautiful view! I only wish we could have extended our trip!

We had a LOVELY time The house was immaculate and we enjoyed the extra touches, candles etc. The views from the house were spectacular We spent the evenings sitting around & gazing out the windows.There was a real warmth to the setting. We went deep sea fishing & shopping We decided to stay an extra night & that was easily arranged Thank you. We would definately do a return trip & highly reccomend it to others.

The Pacific Ocean view from this house is just spectacular! House is located end of the street lots of privacy. Plenty of backyard ocean view space for bonfire or just outdoor activities. Inside of the house is extremely well-care for, clean and well decorated just like a 5-star hotel. Will go back again for sure!
