The pics do NOT reflect the true beauty of this house! Plenty of room yet very comfy and cozy! Kitchen was beautiful but needs some better cooking utensils. My family loved this home and would definitely stay again! Already planning for next year. Beautiful, peaceful and family friendly! :)

A Great Home For A Vacation of Funs & Rest!!!

We rented the Captain's House last summer and had such a great, relaxing time...We Rented It Again Just for US!!! (ME AND MY HUSBAND) The first time was for the entire family. The house is nicely frunished with three bedrooms and three baths and a Fantastic Kitchen and a huge porch/deck. So... it was great for a family. We needed some TLC time just for us and rented it again for four nights in October, 2012. We left relaxed and ready to face the work world again. We will be coming back! It is like our HOME AWAY FROM HOME. SO THIS IS ABOUT THE HOUSE. The area is full of things to do with wonderful beaches, shops and fantastic places to eat! Go Oregon Coast!!!! Go Captain's House!!!!

Simply the Best

Seven of us stayed in this beautiful home for 3 nights. We enjoyed cooking in the complete kitchen and using the gas bbq. We loved being able to walk down to the beach to surf. The house is spacious. It allowed all of us to come back from surfing and shower up in the 3 (count them, 3!) showers quickly. It is a peaceful and gorgeous place to stay and play. We are hoping to visit again next summer.

Wonderful stay at Captain's House at Otter Rock

My family (sisters and brother) recently spent the weekend at Captain's House in Newport for the Seafood & Wine Festival and were so impressed and delighted with the house! We had a great time and loved the location - only 8 miles to town and close to shopping and the beach. The pictures are great but don't do this home justice. It's a lovely, spacious, contemporary space that is perfectly comfortable and well-furnished. We're looking forward to staying again!

Otter Rock summer vacation

WOW! This place was terrific! My family stayed at the Captain's House for one week in early August and we had a fabulous time. The location was perfect for our family. Lot's to do including a short walk to the beach for either a long walk on sandy beaches while watching the surfers or a discovery trip north of the punch bowl (Devil's punch bowl is a cave that caved in) for the marine life in the tide pools. We are already planning our next trip!

Had a great experience from the innitial booking, to the on-site management ensuring a great experience in newport. The house had a ton of room, and was more than enough for our family of five. Very close to two wonderful beaches, and right down the street from Newport. Will definately be making this a yearly excursion!

Gem Near the Coast!

If you want to be close to the coast, but out of the mob scene, this is the place for you. It is a brand new 2009 home with a functional floor plan, is impeccably furnished, and exhibits quality and good taste throughout. On top of that the owner is available and is attentive to the needs of the renter. The property is easily reached from US 101 and is in a lovely residential area on several acres and within easy walking distance of the Devils Punch Bowl State Natural Area. The three bedrooms and three baths worked out very well for our family gathering of four adults. All those five stars in our rating are just gleaming!
