A great location in the heart of Newport where Nye Beach meets Agate Beach, and close to the fine dining, shopping & activities of Historic Nye Beach & the Bayfront. Panoramic only begins to describe what the eyes take in from this spectacular vantage point just steps away from a beach access trail.
This 2,100sf contemporary oceanfront home is beautifully appointed to maximize both comfort & views. The living, dining & kitchen areas are on the upper level adjacent to an oceanfront sundeck, and many large picture windows take in the views. A high vaulted open beam ceiling & floor to beam rock fireplace accentuate the open yet cozy expanse, with a 52" LCD TV/DVD, desktop computer & WIFI internet for your convenience.
The kitchen is framed by a long granite countertop/bar and has all stainless appliances. A dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster are included along with all necessary utensils. A laundry room and 1/2 bathroom are conveniently nearby.
Three of the four bedrooms front the blue Pacific. A large Master Bedroom is on the upper level with access to the sundeck and includes a King Bed, TV/DVD & Master Bathroom with a jetted Jacuzzi tub. The other three bedrooms, two with Queen Beds and one with 2 Twin Bunkbeds are on the ground level along with a full bathroom.
There is also ample room for convenient off street parking for 4 cars.
NOTE: Weekly rentals are 7 days & 7 nights (not 6 nights as some offer).
Area Information
Some popular activities include fishing charters, crabbing, clam digging, surfing, kayaking, hiking, whale watching, Historic Nye Beach, the Bayfront's Old Town, Hatfield Marine Science Center, Oregon Coast Aquarium, Sea Lion Caves, Yaquina Head Lighthouse and nearby Agate Beach Golf Course.

WOW is right!

That will be your first reaction when you see the view from the livingroom...wow! Besides the beautiful view of the Yaquina Head lighthouse, the home is well maintained and a very comfortable place to stay. The master bedroom has a memory foam mattress and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes pots and pans as well as some basic ingredients for cooking. They also supplied a crock pot, blender, and electric griddle. Paper products, cleaning supplies,laundry soap, and light bulbs also supplioed. They have a Weber kettle grill. For those who need it, they aso supplied baby gate, booster chair & bassinet. Also books, puzzles, games. The locationis great....a 10 min walk one way to Nye Beach and surrounding shops and restaurants. And approximately a mile to the local Fred Meyer and Safeway for grocery shopping. Although there is a trail to the beach right next to the house, I suggest you do like the sign says and go to the next trail several yards from the house and before the next mailbox as the trail closest to the house is severely eroded and looked unsafe to me. The house overlooks the beach and you decend about 35'. The owners, Jim and Lana are very responsive and right on top of things. It was so restful staying there...my husband's criteria was we had to be able to hear the ocean and we could! I would certainly consider coming back again...it was a wonderful place to stay!

We had a great trip to the Oregon Coast and have say this house had a lot to do with our enjoyment. What a great location and well kept property. The views are amazing and furnishing beyond expectation. Jim and Lana have thought of all personal touches to make you feel at home and they do everything they can to ensure you relax and enjoy. The entire process was flawless. We are already looking at our calendar for the next trip. You can't go wrong with this rental. It's well worth it and we look forward to our next visit!

First and most importantly, the pictures of this house do NOT do it justice (which is a good thing because now you have a better chance of renting it :-) ). If you are able to rent this house while you visit the Newport Coast, consider yourself incredibly lucky. This house SHOULD be continuously booked and may have one of the best views in the entire city of Newport. I can 100% recommend the property and the owner (who addressed all of my emails prior to our trip as well as answered his phone promptly when any questions/problems arose during our stay). Despite the large size of the house, the layout and design of the second floor makes the house feel cozy and inviting. The two-sided fireplace is a great feature and you are literally next to everything! The lower level houses all of the rooms (except the master) and is just as nice. You are 7 minutes walking distance to restaurants and just a short drive to the Nye Beach Lighthouse (which you can see from your windows).

This is our second time at the Wow House and we still walk in and go WOW. To stare at Yaquina Head Light all day is fantastic. We cooked great meals in the kitchen with those gorgeous granite counter tops, watched Harry Potter on the big screen TV and slept like a dream with the ocean sounds to lull us to sleep. We can't come back for a while, but you can guarantee we will be back. Thank you for another great time at the ocean!!

My wife and I needed a place that would accomodate our 'West Coast brood' of kids, grandkids and friends. The Wow House had the rooms/BR's and view of the ocean we wanted for our much-needed vacation. From the moment we arrived, we found it to provide everything and more than it promised. Impeccably clean with an oceanfront view that defies description. During our stay we discovered the owners had not overlooked even the smallest of convenience items like toiletries that are often forgotten when packing. The kitchen is equipped for the gourmet chef (that would be Momma) and, despite being within 5 minutes of shopping, you are 'isolated' on a bluff over the ocean. The sound of surf crashing while a cool breeze blows into the master bedroom makes sleeping back in the Midwest tough. We WILL return next year and again many times after that. Don't miss this place!

My husband and I stayed at the WOWhouse for four nights in February. First of all, this place is amazing! The photos DO NOT do this home justice!. The view is incredible… huge windows overlooking the ocean & a great view of the lighthouse…for sure EXCEEDED our expectations… and you couldn’t ask for better beach access – just right outside the door. This home is comfortably furnished and very tasteful. The kitchen is a pleasure to cook in – very spacious & had everything we needed. Great communication from the owners of the WOWhouse. They did everything possible to ensure our stay was perfect… We highly recommend this beach house & plan on staying again in the near future.

Stayed at the Wow House for eight days, and simply had a wonderful time. Had my wife, two young children (30 months and 8 months), parents, and mother in law, and easily had room for all of us. House was a great fit for everyone, and had great access to beach, close to shopping and restaurants, and kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. Couldn't have possibly stayed at a better place in Newport. We simply had a great experience.

my son planned his wedding in newport- since there would be 6 in our party a house seemed more prudent than motels. this house exceeded all our wishes from accomodations to view. we had to bring absolutely nothing. everything you need is there. great location convenient to everything, owners made it a breeze for us so we could concentrate on the wedding and our needs. would do it again anytime we are in newport or need accomodations on the central coast THANKS AGAIN

We were very happy with this rental property. The house is fairly new and very nicely decorated. We had the rental for a family weekend to celebrate my daughter and nephew's birthday and there was plenty of space for the whole family. The WOW house is better than we could have imagined. Not only is it a beautiful home in the perfect location, the decor, art and kitchen dishes and utensils were great. Stayed here in July. The views from the house are stunning! The house is comfy and inviting. Decorated beautifully. The owners are extremely helpful, responsive and easy to work with. We stayed at this property on the weekend of Jun 25-27. The inside surprised us all when we first walk in. It's very clean and cozy. Very nice decorations. Most to mention is the view from the family room to the ocean. It's very open. What an awesome view!!! The house almost everything we would need. Thanks to the owners. Hands down, two thumbs up, this house is great. Went there for my birthday weekend and 4 days was not enough. Every window had a view of the ocean. House was completely stocked with every thing you need. We got to meet the owners Jim & Lana upon our arrival and were very very nice. This was an ideal spot for our family gathering. It is very clean, spacious and light, with a huge open kitchen. The view is breathtaking, and there is a lovely deck overlooking the beach. We had 15 people over for dinner and it was very roomy and comfortable. The master bedroom is massive and has doors opening out to an oceanview deck--it is lovely to fall asleep to the sound of the surf. The other bedrooms are cozy and welcoming, too. It is easy to find and both private and yet close to everything you will need. The owners are very helpful and will assist you in any way they can to make your stay comfortable. I highly recommend this for families or groups--you will not find any home more perfect than this!
