We loved the house. It was very spacious and comfortable. It had terrific views and plenty of window space to watch for whales. It was beautifully decorated with lots of nautical items to check out. I kept finding more little things to look it. Absolutely didn't want to leave...

The Coast House was a great place to stay. The manager next door made our stay even better with baked goods, shells, and just a nice person. The place is good for 4 people, and just having the beach out the door was exactly what we were looking for as well as the HOT TUB on the deck! Life was good and a great way to spend a special week. The kitchen could use some crab cracking tools but otherwise well stocked, great coffee pot. The ability to just walk out the door in the morning with a cup of coffee and walk for miles on the beach is just what was needed to relax.

This place is perfect! Right on the beach. We could literally watch the waves crash down from the hot tub. We loved thy the yard is fenced as we have a toddler and a dog. The property has its own steps right down to the beach. The owners are si friendly and delightful to work with. The Coast House is the perfect spot to relax and it is so close to many activities. The shopping is close by, horseback riding is a short drive away and the aquatic life can be viewed right from the deck. We were fortunate to see whales, dolphins and we even saw seals. A short walk down the stairs takes you to miles and miles of beach where you can find amazing fossils and enjoy the waves. The hot tub was spectacular and great to watch the sunsets from. We were also very impressed by the property manager, so nice and knowledgeable. We really look forward to staying there again and would certainly recommend.

What a wonderful vacation! The house had everything we needed (we just brought our food is all!!). The hot tub was very relaxing and the sunsets are amazing! Jackie, the property manager, was great! Made sure we didn't need anything and left his number telling us to call anytime. He even gave our boys some rocks and shells he found beachcombing. If you are looking for a place to stay on the Oregon Coast, this is it!! We felt like we were at home and didn't want to leave.

My fiance, dog, and I just got back from a wonderful stay at the Coast House. It is right on a "private" beach, the hot tub is a great perk and the kitchen had all the amenities you would want. A great place to spend a few days away from it all.

This house is a nice place to stay while on the coast. The hot tub, stove and the view were awesome. The house is nicely stocked with everything you might need. Including a lot of coastal gift shop wall decor. We are sensitive to chemical fragrances. Upon arriving, we had to unplug several plug-in air fresheners and air the house out. They even have a fan for that. The caretakers next store are cool and so are the owners. We will strongly consider returning.

What a fantastic find. A real jewel of a house on the Oregon Coast. As a first time visitor to the coast, we were a bit apprehensive about staying in a rental house site unseen. The photos and reviews found on the Vacation Home Rentals website were not misleading by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, the Coast House was the most pleastant experience we have had. They thought of everything from the cozy warm furnishings to the popcorn in the cupboard. The location was amazing. The history of the house was fascinating. The oceanview was breath-taking and yet tranquill. We will definitely come back on our next trip to the coast. Thank you Doug and Teri for sharing this little gem with us.

The Perfect Spot

My wife and I had not taken a vacation in 5 years. Needless to say we were looking for that perfect place. The Coast House did not fail to deliver. The owners and managers of the property have put a great deal of thought and effort into making The Coast House as homey and convenient as possible. Everything imaginable is provided. The beds are comfortable, the hot tubs speak for themselves, and the view..........................you have to see it for yourself. Million Dollar View - cute place

This was a great stay, million dollar view and the property is excellently managed and cared for as a rental home. Some items were a little dated and weathered but I feel like that added to my coast experience. There was a heavy marine layer that limited the view from the house while we were there but I think that is part of the Oregon Coast mystique. One Negative – it is time to replace the screen door going outside.

Great family getaway

Our family of 5 had a great stay at his beach house. It was very comfortable, had fantastic views (even from the hot tub on the deck!), great beach access, and easy access to Newport. The only downside was the traffic noise from Hwy 101 although when the windows were closed this wasn't a problem. We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay last fall was spectacular in many ways. The weather was warm and very pleasant.We watched for whales out in the water, but found one closer to shore.. One morning a big Hump Back Whale washed ashore not far from the Coast House. Of course, we had to walk down and inspect this large creature and poke our finger into its rubbery skin. We also had great fun watching all of the seals, sea lions, and many different kinds of birds that fly these water. We had a great time

Can't say enough about how nice Doug and Teri were to work with. We had "iffy" winter weather driving and they welcomed us to check in a little early. We found the "Coast House" intimate, cozy, private, and quiet. Just what we adore. We (and especially George & Gracie) loved, loved, loved the private stairs down to the expansive beach which we had mostly to ourselves. We also appreciated the hot tub, fenced yard, and views. Can't say enough about Debbie and Jacki - the managers, who were ever present to meet our every need. Great people. Thanks for many memories.

This trip was planned back in June. If we could have picked the perfect weather, the best view, hot tub a plus, the ideal lodging sight unseen… we would have picked the Coast House last weekend and not been disappointed. Property managers said we had the best weekend of the summer, guess we picked the "perfect weather package". The property managers are a gem. We are touting our mini-vacation to any one who will listen. You may be having a couple of nibbles on the property! We plan on scheduling next October!!Thanks

The Miller Group stay for 3 nights and had a great time at The Coast House. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The beach front the weather the house itseft was just right. My Grandkids, Son & Girlfriend and Husdand had a nice time, also the dog Lucy like the beach too. Your managers were helpful and nice people. We will recommend this home to our friends. My kids and I lost our husband and dad earlier this year to cancer. The "Coast House " was just what our family needed to retreat and help heal. The house was fully stocked. All we needed was clothing and food. We were blessed with great weather, found treasures while beachcombing. Would definitely recommend this home to everyone. But not when we want to go back and stay!!

Very pleased! The house and location was exactly as indicated on the internet. LOVED the sunsetting from the hottub! The beach access was great as were the views. Very Clean, managers were extremely nice and helpful. We will definatley stay again.
