Description of the Newport vacation condo rental

LOCATION: The resort is located within walking distance of downtown with all the fabulous food and shopping on Bowen's and Bannister's Wharf.  The Newport mansions, International Tennis Hall of Fame are just a short distance away.  This unit comes with two parking spaces, but the public transportation facility is located just behind the resort and is the way to explore all that Newport and the surrounding area has to offer.  You are located at the gateway to Goat Island and have some spectacular views of the harbor. 

RESORT FEATURES: There are two pools located at the resort.  One is a kidney-shaped heated indoor/outdoor pool
with hot tubs adjoining and the other is a rectangular pool to do laps in.  The resort has a health club, sauna, private surround sound movie theater (2 movies shown each night) and game room.  There is a recreational director on duty and discount tickets can be purchased for area attractions as well.   Each unit features a kitchen with a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and range. The master bathroom has a whirlpool tub. Other amenities include VCR (or DVD), cable TV with premium channels and Wi-Fi access (surcharge).  There is a children's activity room, a video rental library and a barbeque pavilion for guest use.

TIPS:  Whether you want to enjoy the water (beaches, sailing, fishing or kayaking), dining (many great restaurants), shopping (all within walking distance) or just want to relax, Newport is sure to please everyone's fancies.  Come enjoy a memorable week in Newport.

 Fantastic Location and Large Rooms, August 25, 2008

This timeshare is in a fantastic location in Newport. It is about a 5 minute walk to Bannisters Wharf but on a quiet street so that you can sleep well. The three bedrooms are very roomy and the bathrooms are great. The parking spaces that come with the unit are worth their weight in gold. The unit is also located about a 5 minute walk from the Newport Transportation Center with buses that come and go from the Cape, Boston and Providence. The only negative would be that while there are plenty of glasses, plates and bowls, there isn't much in the way of cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc. But then again, who wants to cook. When we first arrived we had to wait almost an hour for a corkscrew from the houskeeping department. Not a real tragedy, but we were thirsty! I would highly recommend this unit and would happily stay there again.
