Description of the Newport vacation home rental

Arrowhead Ranch Lodge sits on 6 acres overlooking the Pend Oreille River with lots of room for guest parking.

The main floor has an open floorplan with 20' open beam ceilings along with a huge fireplace. The large master suite includes a walk-in closet with a private bath which includes a walk-in shower and a Japanese soaking tub.

The lower level has two bedrooms overlooking the water, full bath, mechanical room and a laundry room that has a chest freezer as well.

The upstairs game room has an oak slate pool table with leather pockets, a 60" big screen TV, DVD & VHS players along with a good selection of movies and a smaller TV. The guest bedroom suite located on the upper level comes with a private bath.

Kitchen comes fully equipped along with large Subzero refrigerator and 48" commercial gas range...perfect for entertaining. The view from every room is spectacular. The large deck has an outdoor barbecue, a picnic table and gets lots of afternoon sun.

With an additional deposit this is a dream vacation property for your family dog with lots of room to run, swim and fetch. Dogs remain outside and no puppies, please.

This is a NON-SMOKING facility.

Area Information

Before the sun comes up on the Pend Oreille River Valley, you'll often see bald eagles and osprey fishing on the water in front of the lodge. If you like to fish, you may want to join them before the sun warms up the morning air.

Bring your boat and cruise through calm water exploring the many islands along the river and have a picnic lunch when you find a sandy beach that suits you.

Located on a section of the river with 55 miles of boatable water, this is the best water skiing in the entire region.

Only 8 miles from historic downtown Newport where you will find shopping, restaurants, banking, a local movie theater, parks and whatever else you may desire from a small town.

The Camas Wellness Center only 12 minutes away has water slides, 4 swimming pools, a 33' rock climbing wall, state-of-the-art fitness equipment and spa.

Numerous golf courses and if you like to ski, 49 Degrees North Ski Resort is only 26 miles from the front door of the lodge. Sandpoint Idaho, home of Schwietzer Mountan Ski Resort, is only 38 miles east. The area also boasts some excellent local microbreweries and wineries.

At the end of the day relax on the large deck that overlooks the river or take in some of the local night life in Newport, Priest River or nearby Sandpoint, ID.

Each summer the area hosts several events including the Newport Rodeo, Priest River Timber Days, Lost in the 50's classic car show and The Festival at Sandpoint featuring outdoor concerts on the lakeshore.

Arrowhead Ranch

I would recomend Arrowhead Ranch Lodge to anyone who is looking for a quite place to relax with family members. We had an excellent time while we were there. It is only a 40 minute drive to Silverwood, close to state parks or just a nice place to relax and play in the river. The property manager was great he never bothered us but was their if we needed him. There was also a lot of indoor activies like a pool table, numerous games and videos. I can only imangine what a beautiful stay this home would be in the winter. Thank you Chad for letting us use your home and thanks to Mike, property manager, for being so nice.
