Area Information

The city of Nokomis is famous for Casey Key, a barrier island split with the city of Osprey created by the inter-coastal waterway, where there are beachfront houses worth millions of dollars lining the key. You will find a wide variety of residents and homes on this small barrier island but all enjoy the same peaceful serenity of the island while also appreciating all the amenities of Sarasota and nearby Venice.

Casey Key residents and visitors enjoy a host of amenities we all enjoy such as grocery stores, department stores, and restaurants which are all just minutes away. One of the more famous residents is Stephen King, who resides on Casey Key during the winter months. Add to all of this, the many cultural and sports activities in Sarasota, often called the "Cultural Capital" of Florida, and you can easily see why this is such a great place to visit or live.

Best way to turn 50

I wanted to run away from home for my 50th birthday and I am glad I found this home. The location is just perfect, only a 2 min walk to the beach which is never crowded, or a well appointed pool with padded lounge chairs to soak up the sun in private. There were 6 of us staying and there was plenty of space for all. The owner and the property manager John were very accommodating and made sure all you had to do was to enjoy yourself. The house came with pool floats and several beach chairs and 2 kayaks. You are only a 10 min drive from major stores and 15mins to the malls. The only suggestion or upgrade for this home would be a better gas grill, the one there is adequate. I would definitely stay here again, Thanks to the owner and John for making my 50th one to remember.

Wonderful home and location

What a treat! Casey Key is a paradise - quiet and private with a fantastic almost deserted beach. Casey Key Cabana is a beautiful home - well equipped, luxurious and private. The pool is great. Special mention must go to the Concierge John who made us very welcome and was very helpful indeed. We will return.
