This Floating home is located in the bay at Whitman Hollow Marina. You will need a boat to get out to it, but once there you will find the house has city electric, a water filtration system, central heat/air, fully equipped kitchen, table service for 8, 2 bedrooms,1 bath, a queen sleeper sofa in the great room, 2 T.V.s, a cube game system for the kids, ceiling fans, outdoor patio furniture on the decks, a safety railing completely around the house. and a swimming ladder for easy access back to the deck.

All you will need to bring to the lake are your clothes and food. Everything else is provided.

MID-WEEK DAY SPECIALS
As stated earlier, you will need a boat to get to the house. If you don't have one we will rent you our 18 foot pontoon boat if it's available. We even have a Special Package Price for our house, pontoon boat, all taxes and fees for 3-days for only $600.00 dollars. You must refill the gas tank on check-out. No other fees or hidden costs, what a great deal!

Fishing Spectatular!!
Begining September 8, 2009 and going until we close the house down for the winter, sometime in December, we are running a Fishing Spectatular.
This will include the house for 2 nights, a fishing guide from "Fish-OON" for a 4 hour trip for up to 6 people, your catch will be cleaned and packaged at the end of your trip, all taxes and fees included. Your cost is
ONLY $600.00 !!

Area Description

Norris lake is beautiful with it's crystal clear waters and over 880 miles of shoreline (too much to see in one weekend). The fall colors are a must see, as much of the shoreline is owned by the TVA and kept in its pristeen condition.
The lake is about 35 miles north of Knoxville, yet only 45 minutes to an hours drive to Pigeon Forge/Glatlinburg.
There are many nice resturants in the area along with the usual shopping (Wal-Mart, grocery stores and some speciality stores). Some of the Marina's have nice outside resturants on the docks. Whitman Hollow just opened a small finger food resturant this year. And the best part--they deliver to the floating homes in their bay.

Vacation Rental Policies

Payment Options: Cashier's Check, Discover, Mastercard, Money Order, Personal Check, Visa
Check In: 3 p.m.
Check Out: 10 a.m.
Required Stay: 3 Day Minimum
Lodging Tax: 14.25%
Deposits: No deposits are necessary, except if making a reservation for the following year, then a $200.00 dollar deposit will hold your prefered dates. This deposit will be applied to your final bill.
Other Fees: All of our fees are included into our prices. You will receive a breakdown of the fees and taxes on our Invoice to you.

Quiet and Relaxing, October 12, 2009

We stayed for a long weekend the end of August. It was so nice we went back 3 weeks later. Again staying for a long weekend which then turned into a 10 day vacation, we did not want to go home. I would recommend this to everyone, there is nothing like staying right on the lake vs. land. This 2 bedroom home is very nice, well decorated and clean. We can't wait to go back next year. Thank you so much Bill and Shirley.

After over 20 years of house boat trips on Cumberland, I have to say this was WAY more relaxing. Wonderful setting, beautiful house. One of the best things is the full size appliances. It’s great to be able to fit a week’s worth of food in the refrigerator and freezer and still have room for beverages. Saves about $20 per day in ice. Full size stove and oven if you’re not a grill fan which is also a great asset. No running the generator and having worries about CO2. Although we did have some rain…..we didn’t have to worry about ropes snapping in a storm. The house is anchored well and you can’t tell it’s afloat. I would highly recommend this house and plan on many return trips. Thanks Bill and Shirley. Scott Cincinnati, OH.
