Description of the North Captiva vacation home rental

This NEW 2009 tropical style luxury, island home is professionally decorated Our 4bedroom/3.5 bath, custom built and decorated, island home has 3 levels with the Michael Kors master bedroom on the living areas on the upper levels and the bedrooms on the lower.Quality linens and towels included.There are plenty of areas for large gatherings and plenty of areas for private relaxing.The roof top is 40 feet high.

There 360 degree views from the sky deck of the gulf of Mexico and Pine Island Sound.Watch the sunset, sunrise, bird watching(osprey, herons) from your sky deck. Enjoy access to the pristine beautiful white sand beach-short walk distance or load yours golf carts(beach chairs) and drive to the beach on second's. There are no cars and no paved roads(transportation is only by electric golf carts on sand roads). For your island transportation you will have available Two golf carts: one 6 seater and one 4 seater.

Area Information

North Captiva Island is unspoiled barrier island located north of Captiva/Sanibel and south of Cayo Costa barrier island.NCI is APP. 4 miles long and 1.5 wide at its widest point. Boat access only-20 min. ride from Pine Island. There isprivately owned, grass air strip of light aircraft. A large part of the island is state land preserve. Manatees and dolphins are often to see from our shores. We also offer world class sport fishing for Tarpon,Snook and Red fish. Fish from the beach or charter a fishing boat for the day, collect shells, kayak to neighboring islands, ride bikes.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

Charter fishing, days trips via water taxi to surrounding islands. Golf and shopping are accessible by water taxi to Sanibel and Fort Myers(factory stores nearby). There are 6 scheduled taxi runs per day. If you;d prefer a privateboat charter can take you. You can be picked up via limousine service and taken to the marina for 20- min. boat ride to the island or you can rented car on FT.MYERS INT.airport and drive your self to marina.We can arrange all transport and order your groceries/supplies at the local store and have delivered to the marina or directly to your house.

Great Family experience

A getaway worthy of a return. A wonderful home, great owner with excellent communication. A beautiful place with all the amenities of island living. We were a family of 8 adults and 4 children and had space for everyone to move around. Great decks to enjoy a cup of tea in the early mornings or a meal for supper. Access to beaches, pools, tennis, basketball, gym, fishing and more either by foot or by golf cart. A definite must for vacationers looking for quiet isolated time to relax. Enjoy!

Incredible Property and Home

Been visiting the island for over 12 years and found this property and its owner to be one of the absolute best. So clean, all the 'goodies' and two golf carts make the stay incredibly enjoyable. The island is our 'great escape' and this home makes it all the more special. We visit the island a couple times per year and definitely, will be renting Schooner Sail again. Highly recommended this property, you will not be disappointed.

Great place to unwind

Spent a week with my family and sister-in-law and her two boys. Had a great time, house was incredible with plenty of room for seven people. Everyone had something to do, relax at the beach, pool, etc. Would highly recommend this home for a great family vacation.

Wow! The pictures do not do justice to Schooner Sail. My family had a wonderful week in paradise! This home is beautiful. We were close enough to the beach and to the Island Club pools to walk. Plenty of room to unwind even for 6 adults and 3 children. Great place to really kick-back and relax. We would recommend spending a week with family or friends at Schooner Sail...

Amazing Vacation Home!!!!!

The pictures do not show the true beauty of this home; the decor was amazing and the house more than we expected. Traveling with 5 children and my mother-in-law, it was perfect to have the master suite on a separate floor. Each bedroom has a door out to a deck with breath-taking views from every side of the house. The owner and the Island Club members were incredibly helpful and responsive. The house had all the amenities of home -- just bring a beach towel and your clothes. We will rent Schooner Sail again!!
