Description of the North Falmouth vacation cottage rental
Our beach house in North Falmouth is a comfortably large 4 bedroom bungalow, located steps away (six houses down) from New Silver Beach. The house features an open, airy floor plan with a beautifully designed Arts and Crafts style dining room and living room with stained bead-board paneling. The kitchen is large, well appointed, and has an "eat-in" counter. The dining room can easily fit 20 or more people if you are thinking about a reunion or rehearsal dinner. There is a separate dining nook that offers a view of Cleveland Ledge Lighthouse. Bedrooms are located upstairs. The two largest feature king-size beds and air conditioning. The house is generously appointed with lots of windows to catch those afternoon summer breezes coming off the ocean. There is a sleeping porch that includes a pull-out sofa. The south-facing deck is expansive (as wide as the house) and is perfect for parties or an outdoor rehearsal dinner. The kitchen and dining nook offer direct access to the deck. There are two sets of deck chairs and tables. A BBQ grill is furnished with a full cylinder of gas. The back yard is lush and private (great for kids) and there is an outdoor shower.

The house is part of the private New Silver Beach Improvement Association (NSBIA). The Association takes great pride in maintaining the nostalgic feel of an original Cape Cod beach community; maintaining a spotless beach with life guards, tennis court, a snack bar and playground. The Association offers weekly activities during their summer season, and as our guests, you and your family will be able to take part in all the activities the NSBIA has to offer. This can greatly enhance your family’s stay at our house. Past activities included: swimming lessons, kid’s cookout w/ bingo, teen dodge ball, nightly movies on the tennis court, grill night, fishing tournament, horseshoe tournament, volleyball, and the Horribles Parade on the 4th of July weekend. And the Tea Room is a safe focal point for the older kids at night. Association activity calendar is put together during later part of June.

North Falmouth's clean, sandy beaches are the warmest on Cape Cod. Private New Silver beach is bordered by two rock jetties and watched over by two lifeguards (during posted hours). For younger kids, the water level deepens very gradually and for the older kids, there is a diving raft located just off the beach.

Your vacation activities are not limited to the beach. This is a great running/walking/biking area with little traffic. The Shining Sea Bike Path is a mile away and will take you all the way to Woods Hole with some of the best scenery on Cape Cod. Bike rentals are available. Nearby Falmouth is loaded with quaint shops and wonderful restaurants. There are two cinemas in the area. Martha's Vineyard is easy to get to with two ferries to serve you. Woods Hole has a nice aquarium and Sandwich's Heritage Plantation and Glass Museum are thirty minutes away.
