The sea is a protected coral reef, great for beach combing wave washed shells and sea glass.
A few steps walking down the beach is great swimming and snorkeling. St. Croix is famous for diving and snorkeling! Kayaking is minutes away with phosphorescent night trips available. Horseback riding on the beach - yes, indeed!
You don't even have to leave the area for fun and food - 2 restaurants/pubs are right next door but not intrusive and our huge new pool is pristine and purified without nasty chlorine. Or dip into the hot tub for a change of pace.
Duty Free Shopping and parks, botanical gardens, ruins, and golf are only minutes away - as is everything on our 27 mile long island paradise. And you are right in the middle - easy to get anywhere to have fun!
This Penthouse luxury condo feels like a whole villa - private, quiet, two levels, no one peeking into your porch areas, white egrets nesting in the wild within view...it doesn't get better than this!

What a perfect beach vacation I had at Pelican Cove on St. Croix, USVI! This condo townhouse was luxurious, with beautiful furniture and decor in every room spanning 2 floors, with views of the ocean from 2 balconies!
Waking up on the 2rd floor suite was a real highlight, sunlight streaming in from all the balcony windows with the morning ocean in view. It has view of the ocean, and you can still hear the waves! We drove to many beaches in the area during our week-long stay, but the beach in front of the house was just as gorgeous and lovely. The whitest, sugary sand, and the water was always clear, blue-green and just the right temperature, even at the end of September. Some days the ocean was glassy like a giant pool with many kinds of fish swimming around, and other days there were waves for me to jump in!
The apartment had everything we needed all week. When the sun was at its strongest, we would come back to the house, shower off in the outdoor shower, and hang out in the pool.
This condo has a super-nice sound system that pipes to every floor and balcony areas. Your iPod lets you choose where the music played. Very fun! The pool is great at night under the moon. Most nights, we went to the local fish market and bought freshly caught fish and grilled on the pool patio grill. What a treat! I can't imagine having a better beach vacation, thanks Pelican Cove, La Grande Princesse, Unit 303–English; near Christiansted on St. Croix, US Virgin Islands.
