Area Information
Oak Island, off the southeastern coast of North Carolina, includes the towns of Oak Island and Caswell Beach. It is known for its coastal beauty and family atmosphere. The Island offers more than 14 miles of Atlantic coastline with quiet surf, thanks to its moderate tides. Or, if you prefer there is the tranquility and natural beauty of the Intracoastal Waterway, which runs sleepily along the ''backside '' of the island.
Only minutes from historic Southport, this family-oriented community abounds with water-related activities for all ages, including fishing, swimming, surfing, kayaking, boating and many other fun and exciting water-sports. The area is also known for its challenging golf courses. In fact, there are over 100 courses all within an hours' drive from the center of Brunswick County! Stroll, run, walk, or bike from one end of the island to the other! Visit the many gift shops, boutiques, art galleries and specialty stores along the way. There's lots of casual dining,too: an abundance of fresh seafood, steaks, buffets, delis and more! Stayed at the Condo the end of July, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. It was clean and as advertised. Very short walk to the beach, which was clean and not crowded. We had an issue with a failed water heater a few days in, and the owners responded immediately. It was replaced and running with very little disruption. The owner clearly works to make sure your trip is a great one. Perfect place for family, especially if you appreciate the more quiet beach - as opposed to some spring break type locales. Parking is right outside your door, and the area appears very safe. I would recoomend it to a friend, and we hope to return next year.

We had a good time staying at this condo. It is great proximity to Yaupon Beach, Southport, Ft Fisher and Wilmington! The condo had pool acces which was great and a close walk to the beach. A nice surprise was the free wi-fi and you can leave your tent and chairs on the beach. But be careful, it is windy! The condo itself was nice and there was plenty of room for the four adults and three small kids. We never ran out of hot water in the showers and everything worked like at home. The transactions were easy and Terri was so friendly. This whole experience made for an easy vacation. The only thing we didn't like was the neighbors above us. But after a couple nights we got used to it. You have a beach view from your balcony and lots of patio furniture!

This condo is fantastic, right on the beach, wonderful pool when you have had enough sand and very guest friendly! The condo was very clean and exactly as shown in photo's. Having all towels and linens provided was so nice, less to pack in the car!! It is a perfect spot for a beach vacation whether it be a couples getaway or a family vacation with the kids!!! Terri & Joe made everything so easy with the information they emailed prior to our visit and it helped to make it such a stress free vacation. Fantastic rental for the price as well!!!

Loved our condo it was all that it promised to be and more!! We loved the quiet, clean, soft, sandy ocean beach. Had a wonderful time!! The folks at Oak Island lighthouse were able to squeeze us in for a tour- yeah what a wonderful view from the top!! My teenage sons each caught a shark on the pier. Not that they're telling anyone it was less than a foot long! Rented several times before and I've never had such caring and conscientous owners, thank you Terri & Joe for making us feel most welcome! Had a minor problem, the maintenance man was there in a flash, to take care of things! Really enjoyed Duffer's restaurant at the golf course. Got to watch a meteor shower from the beach without all the light polloution we have at home, AWESOME!

My family and I spent a wonderful, relaxing week here. Having 2 balconies was a real plus. The condo unit is very quiet and relaxing. Just a short walk to the pool and beach. The layout of the condo provided 2 baths and plenty of room for everyone. There was always a great breeze for relaxing on the balcony while reading or just watching the ocean. Hope to come back next year.

Our stay was FABulous! The property was well maintained and we saw security montoring the properties often. The pool was clean and the condo was equipped with all that our family of 5 needed for cooking and cleaning. The owner of this particular condo is now called a friend...very hospitiable and happy to be a part of our vacation. The residents and employees at all establishments we visited were also seemingly happy to a part our vacation experience as well. If you are looking for a great family atmosphere for relaxation...this is the place to stay!!!! By the way, you have to climb Oak Island's lighthouse...awesome employees there!!
