Description of the Oak Island vacation home rental

Nice home with 3 bedrooms (1:1 Queen; 2: 1 Queen: 3: 2 Twins and in living room 1 Queen sofa and 1 twin pull out), 2 full baths and one shower (hot & cold) down stairs to wash off all that sand. Soft beachie decor and a fully equipped kitchen. The walk to the beach is .6 miles in distance.

Area Information

Oak Island is a quaint island that if you want to get away from it all, you can. It has a Food Lion and several small shops. Not far from Southport a small quaint town to catch a ferry to Fort Fisher to go into the Aquarimum or Wilmington for some shopping. Wilmington is 45 minutes away and 1 hour to 1.5 hours depending on what part you want in Myrtle Beach.

Mama's Dream was a very clean and well arranged vacation home. The bedrooms worked perfectly for our crew of fishermen and the storage closets were filled with extra bedding, pillows, blankets, towels and wash cloths. The kitchen was very well supplied with a complete array of cooking utencils and pots. The cabinets were filled with everything needed for heavy cooking, serving, and eating. The washer and dryer worked perfect as did the refrigerator and all other appliances. Everything was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the front and back porch areas for a long session of fish stories. A quality vacation home perfect for a great family vacation, couple's get-a-way, or in our case, a fellowship of dad, son, and son-in-laws ready for a weekend of fishing. The owner was extremely response to my inquires and a pleasure to work with.

This is the perfect getaway for any family. There is so much close by to do. The fishing is great the neighborhood is quiet. Staying at this home in Oak Island was great. The house had everything one could ask for, all the linens, utensils and amenities a person could desire. If I had only known I could have packed a lot lighter. Plenty of beach toys,chairs,bicycles,etc. A little farther from the beach than we were used to, but public access well within driving or long walking distance -a little over 1/2 mile. The beach was beautiful and not extremely crowded and the owner of the home was fantastic to work with-would definately recommend and stay again!!!!!!!!!!

I love the relaxing atmostsphere of this home. I spent four days alone riding my bike all over the island, walking to beach, and relaxing in the sun. My sister arrived with her teenage grandkids and we had a blast watching sunsets, eating seafood, and playing on the beach. I would certainly rent this home again. The kids wanted more TV channels but the limited viewing meant more time spent enjoying the sights and favor of Oak Island.
