Area Description

Ocean Isle Beach is an island approximately seven miles long located in Southern North Carolina. It's a family oriented, kick back and relax beach with very little commercial activity. There are twelve golf courses and numerous restaurants within 10 miles.

Ocean Isle Beach offers tremendous advantages over the Northern Outer Banks.
Our water temperature is 10 degrees warmer than Cape Hatteras. Our beach is a wide gently sloping beach with no drop offs. Perfect for children. Access to the beach from non-oceanfront properties is also convenient with a public access every 500 ft.

Driving times from Virginia and Northern cities to Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina is as close as or closer than the Outer Banks due to the convenient access and reduced traffic.

Approximately 50 miles north is Wilmington, North Carolina which offers the historic district, paddle boat rides on the Cape Fear River, tours of the Battleship North Carolina and service into Wilmington International Airport.
