Description of the Ocean Shores vacation cabin rental
Two bedroom ocean view home just a quarter mile from the beach. The house has a large deck overlooking the Pacific and features spectacular views from the kitchen/dining room, living room and master bedroom. Spend the day on the beach flying kites and the evening curled up in front of a cozy fire in the wood stove. Just ten miles from Ocean Shores, with its bike rentals, mini golf, casino, antiquing, surfing, shopping, movie theater and grocery store. Take in a winter storm or a summer hike, lots to see and do!

Memorial Day rain

Property was cozy and clean and had everything we needed. Wasn't too far down to the beach, and good exercise anyways. We spent 3 nights, and the board games helped as it rained pretty heavily for most of the trip. The only down side was the hide-a-bed. It was kinda sketchy as the corners were detached on the mattress frame, so it was easier to just sleep on the couch itself (or on the floor) if you had a group larger than 4 people. The wood burning stove was nice (with plenty of stocked firewood), and kept the place quite warm. Satellite TV worked fine, and we watched at least one DVD movie that we brought. At least Sunday was semi-dry so we were able to walk the beach on one of the days. The wind was still fairly strong so we didn't see any plane landings, but we did see a couple of bald eagles. We had a great time despite the weather and would consider renting this property again (maybe on a sunny weekend next time)! :-)

Great, I'd do it again

Perfect for the seeker of peace and quiet after every day chaos. The cabin was great, the beach was great---the climb between the two was....well okay except for seniors and disabled---but not impossible for me (I'm a senior), a small challenge.

GREAT Ocean view

Driving up to the place your not sure you made the right choice. But once you go inside the gate and step up on the deck and then see the view... WOW... Once you go inside its an older place well maintained and nice rustic feel, clean. smaller bathroom, very nice size master bedroom, and second bedroom is a good size also. The walk down to the beach is on a nice road way going into a path to gain access to this almost private beach feel. First time we went there there was NO ONE else around as far as the eye could see. When you head back up to the cabin, its a little steep of a climb but not that far. I feel that this was worth the price of admission. Enjoy

Great Getaway

This was the first time to the area and we loved the lush forest setting and huge beaches. As we pulled into the driveway & saw a small low building we were not sure what we would find inside the gate. We were not disappointed! Floor to ceiling windows across the back take in the lush forest, ocean views & sound of the surf. The house, even though older is rustic yet updated. The beds were great & furniture comfy. It was a short walk to a beautiful deserted beach. Lots of time was spent on the deck after our beach play time. The dog had the time of her life and we can't wait to get the family back for another stay.

A great weekend getaway

This was a perfect place for my girlfreind and I to spend a quiet romantic weekend together. Cozy accommodations, wood burning stove, a deck view of the Pacific ocean, and only a short walk to the beach - all within a 2 hour drive from home. We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back again.

This little beach house was the perfect get away for us city dwellers. It had a beautiful view and a nice woodstove to keep us cozy. Our dog didn't want to leave and pouted the entire way home. Nice, rustic bungalow, not far from the beach. Feels like home, not like you're in a museum where you can't touch anything :-)

The house was in a great secluded area and had everything one needed to spend time there. There was a beautiful view of the ocean from the deck but the walk to the beach was a bit longer than anticipated. So we drove. :) Thank you for sharing your home with us Rachel. Alone with nature

An excellent location, superb view and well equipped cabin made for the best vacation experience in many years. In July, peak summer vacation time, vacations are often both very crowded and hot. Here the beach was often all ours as far as we could see; morning mists kept us cool, and the fireplace was cosy in the evenings. We read, poked around in tide pools and slept as long as we liked. Highly recommended!

This is a very family friendly home. We built fires in the evening and played board games. We loved the beach and the sand bar went out really far and we collected lots of sand dollars and other treasures! We would come back in a heart beat.

This house was perfect for us and our dog! Fenced yard and deck with a great beach view! The house was also protected from the wind and rain (it did rain the entire time but we had a ball no matter!). The wood stove was great for the cool evenings and mornings. It is close but not to close to anything, quiet and clean. Nothing fancy but again...that was fine by us! It had a lot of "character"! Will return for certain!

Nice quiet getaway

We stayed her for several days in July, 2007. The cabin was pleasantly rustic with plenty of modern features, such as TV/DVD/VCR and stereo. We had trouble using the satellite TV but didn't matter for vacation. Nicely stocked with games and beach toys. Close to beach although the return hill climb may be steep for seniors or those with disabilities. We liked that it was close to many other area beaches, including Ocean Shores to the south, but a quiet retreat in a private setting. A nice getaway for families, a single couple or whatever.
