Description of the Ocean Shores vacation home rental

A quiet, privately owned, centrally located home that backs onto forest reserve land and Duck Lake. Abundant wildlife is everywhere. It's a 5 min. drive to the beach, and less than a mile to two public boat launches on Duck Lake. Through the rainforest in the backyard we have one of the best shore spots for fishing trout and bass. There are 3 bedrooms containing a queen, full and single bed plus two queen sofa beds in the living room. The house is fully equipped with all the linens and kitchen appliances you require. The back patio is private with table and chairs. There is also a full laundry facility. The retreat has a TV and DVD player Wireless internet is available at McDonald's and Tully's.

Area Information

Ocean Shores is a 1.25 hr drive from I-5/Hwy101 at Olympia with six miles of sandy beaches, bordered by the Pacific Ocean and Grays Harbor where wildlife abounds. There are two fresh water lakes, 23 miles of canals and an old growth rain forest in the middle of the City. Ocean Shores has a variety of restaurant and shopping choices, as well as a cinema, bumper-boats, go-karts, tennis, a PGA rated golf course, miniature golf, bike and moped rentals, bowling, and a casino on the beach. A 30,000 square foot convention center offers the latest in meeting technology. Excellent fishing in the ocean, bay or Duck Lake, where you can also boat and waterski. Between the Bay, Lake and Ocean, you are able to have just about any type of vacation you like when visiting Ocean Shores.

The temperatures in Ocean Shores are moderate rarely reaching extremes in cold or heat.

The house was in wonderful shape, very clean, decorated very nicely. Stayed here with a group of 6 ladies, and we had a great time. The forest in the back is beautiful, and a very short drive to the beach. House had enough towels and sheets, and lots of spaces to sleep. We loved having a backyard, and may come back to use the grill some time! Also, everyone in this town is super nice. Thanks for the great rental :)

Loved this rental. Very clean and neat. Only minutes to the beach, Gray's Harbor and Duck Lake. We enjoyed all 3 in the short time we got to spend there. Also enjoyed hiking in the Rain Forest on a trail that is minutes from the house. The weather was gorgeous in October! I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to get away for a nice, relaxing vacation.

What a treat to stay so close to everything in an ideal home away from home. Really enjoyed the space for our family of four. Rae was right - a day rarely goes by when a deer doesn't wander through the yard. A peacful retreat and a super lauching point for some great Washington sightseeing. Highly recommended and will consider making this a regular destination.

Just like having your own beach house! A full kitchen helped us save money because we were able to make our own meals during the day. Everything was wonderful and the price was very reasonable! My mother is disabled so she doesn't go on many trips anymore, especially to hotels but even she was relaxed and enjoying herself. We cannot wait to go back!
