Were only a hop, jump, and skip away from fun activities such as surfing, boogie boarding, and building sand castles. Our San Diego beach cottage rental #20 is within walking distance of the Oceanside Pier and all the charming shops of Oceanside Harbor area. There are endless activities from jet skiing to fishing to enjoy here year-round. Concerts and family events are a stone’s throw away during the summers, there is a weekly farmer’s market every Thursday mornings just down the street and the temperate weather allows you to enjoy the beaches year-round and with all the amenities of home plus a few extra luxuries, it’s no surprise that visitors will want to return here year after year.

Our Cottage is right on the Strand in Oceanside CA. in between the Harbor and Pier. The Harbor has great local resturantes, live music at rockin Baja, Italian Cuisine at “Domonics”, Icecream/ candy shop, and other cute shops. The first Oceanside Pier, built in 1888, was located at what is now Wisconsin Avenue. The next five were built on the site where you’ll find the current pier—at the end of Pier View Way. The concrete approach to the present pier was built in 1925; the wooden portion in 1988. At 1,954 feet, it is the longest wooden pier on the west coast. No license is required to fish from Oceanside Pier. The Oceanside Plaza Amphitheatre is located at the Pier View South beach, just south of the Oceanside Pier. The amphitheatre hosts concerts and special events, especially during the Spring and Summer. Just a brisk walk way from our cottage!
Oceanside Farmers Market is just a few blocks from our cottage. The Farmers Market is open from 9am-1pm year round. You can take advantage of the fresh produce grown locally. More than 30 farmers are represented at this market, many offering organically grown fruits and vegetables. Beautiful cut flowers from the many local flower growers are also presented here, as well as local fish, herbs, honey, eggs, nuts, olives, and yummy baked goods. My favorite is the organic popcorn and fresh salmon!
