Description of the Oceanside vacation home rental
Only a few minutes walk to the beach, this cabin comes with a fully supplied kitchen, large Knotty Pine living room with vaulted ceiling, and comes with a stereo with CD player, Ipod hookup, high speed wireless internet and phone service with free long distance calls throughout the US and Canada.
32" flat screen HDTV/ DVD player with expanded HD cable service, along with a 2nd HDTV/DVD player in the master bedroom, to relax during those blustery days. We have a large and varied collection of over 200 DVDs for your enjoyment. Large deck has a wonderful partial ocean view, a great view of Cape Lookout and a peak view of the Arch Capes. Kids are very welcome here with games, legos, toys and beach toys. We have a burley trailer that has been used to cart the smaller kids down to the beach.
Want to play in the chilly Pacific? We also have a large selection of full wetsuits (from child size 4 to XXXL adult), booties, gloves, hoods and boogie boards at the cabin available for your use.
It is a great place to stay for a family or 2 couples and sleeps up to 6 people comfortably.
Master bedroom has a very comfortable queen sized bed, the second small bedroom has a double bed and the third room off of the master bedroom has a double sized bunk bed.
Unique tree-deck in a Sitka spruce tree with a unobstructed ocean view (use is at renter's risk).
Your well behaved pets are welcome with a small fee. No smoking.
There is parking space available for 2 vehicles along the street of the cabin.
There are several full time residential households directly adjacent, so we ask renters to please be considerate with the level of noise.
2 night min stay off season, 3 night min. stay during peak times when available.
This home is a licensed, inspected rental property in Tillamook county.

Great place to relax!

Just left the Knotty Pine and really wish we could have stayed longer! The view is wonderful! The cottage is clean, comfortable, and very cozy with the very efficient wood stove. The walk to the beach is perfect with a little stop at the coffee shop for a break. Cant wait to go back!

Great Little House

I have a family of six. That's about all this house can handle. Luckily, they're all young (the oldest is nine and the youngest is 17 months). An older family than mine might struggle as there's only one shower and toilet. We had a good time and were relatively comfortable in the house. The view of the ocean was tremendous. The walk to the beach from the house is quaint. The house is old and the design a little odd but it's also solid and quite useable. The best amenities were the wide selection of movies and games and the wetsuits and boogie boards. These were all a hit with the family. The tree house is a nice addition too. There is no cell reception but a landline is provided and the internet works just fine. Thanks again Rory!

What a weekend!

Looking to escape for the weekend, we again made a trip with our kids to the Knotty Pine Cabin. Anyone looking for a quiet, cozy getaway will not be disappointed. From cable tv, kids' games and a turnkey kitchen, the Knotty Pine Cabin has it all. A short walk to Oceanside Beach will be a highlight of your stay. Evenings are warm and cozy with a wood burning stove. Kids and adults alike will have a blast with all of the activities and the owners have built an amazing tree house right beside the deck facing the ocean. Anyone who is looking for a relaxing, restful break should get the Knotty Pine Cabin on their schedule. Everything again met our expectations, and we can't wait to return!

Perfect for 5!

We loved our stay at Knotty Pine! The house is really clean, cute and comfy, and came well-appointed with everything we needed for a great family visit. The beach at Oceanside is great as well. I will say that the house was smaller than we thought it appeared in the pictures, and that the bedrooms are all RIGHT next to each other, so we didn't have a ton of privacy, but for us it worked out fine. The boys loved the tree house, and we all loved the porch! This is a great family-friendly spot. We will be back!

Wonderful Vacation at Knotty Pine Cabin

Our family really enjoyed our getaway to the Oregon Coast while staying at the Knotty Pine Cabin in Oceanside. The cozy cabin was the perfect size for our family of 5. The cabin is a little quirky because we are all on the tall side and had to duck a little in parts (outside awnings, doorways) but nothing we couldn't get used to. It is unfortunate that the view is partially blocked by two tall houses, but the photos on the website were very accurate, so I was not surprised. The positives of the place greatly outweigh these points, however. The huge supply of wet suits and boogie boards were a huge hit with our two teens and tween and provided for hours of enjoyment for the entire family. We were impressed with the big collection of dvds around the cabin and greatly enjoyed our two movie nights. The kitchen is well stocked with handy tools like a cheese grater, big pots, a coffee grinder,etc. There is not anything that I needed that the kitchen didn't have. It doesn't have a dish washer, but I enjoy doing dishes by hand. The kids loved the tree house. The view is really beautiful from up there. We were very comfortable at the Knotty Pine Cabin and recommend it to other renters!

We have enjoyed spending time at Oceanside in years past, but this was the best. Nice, tidy, clean home with fantastic views and nice invigorating walks down to the beach and back up and around the neighborhoods.

Cool little quaint place. Nice view, and Rory let's you use so much there. Towels, boogie boards, tons of wood, grill, etc. I only stayed there one night, but if had more time I would of stayed longer! The only thing is Oceanside is pretty dead. Not much going on if you want to do the social scene, but if you want peace and quiet, the Knotty Pine is for you.

Peaceful with Beautiful Surroundings

My wife and I spent the week of July 15-22, 2010 at the cabin. The weather was gorgeous and the accommodations very comfortable. We had previously considered renting further north along the coast but after making an up close comparison I’m glad we chose the Oceanside area and this property in particular. The only detriment I see is the low ceiling height in some areas of the home as we are both 6’+, but not enough of a problem to give any less than a full 5 stars.

I stayed in the Cabin for a week with my kids and parents. My husband was there for the weekend too. We all found it very cosy. There is plenty of books, DVDs and kids toys to enjoy so you dont neet necessarily have to bring your own stuff. Great choice of towels too. The cabin has the charm of an old family getaway - not new and stylish but welcoming and warm. I know Oceanside a bit and found it a great place to be. I recommend this house strongly and might come back.

Fantastic Get Away Experience

A very cozy, warm, inviting cabin. Reading by the fireplace was totally relaxing when mixed in with walks on the beach. Incredibly well equipped; like never leaving home. Watching the sunset over the ocean from the treehouse was ultra cool! We'll certainly come back. Perfect town and place, if you just really want to unwind & relax.

I went with 5 of my closest friends to hide away at knotty pine cabin. The space was warm and relaxing; cozy, but spacious enough for 6 women. We loved the wood stove and the comfortable living area with a view of the sea. We found the kitchen very well stocked, the beds comfy and warm. The back deck is great for eating outside from the grill. The pine walls have beautiful character. We will definitely be back!

We just returned from a relaxing week at the Knotty Pine Cabin, located just minutes from the beach. This pearl, nestled into the hill of Oceanside, offered a beautiful view of the ocean, a homey atmosphere, fabulous beds, a well appointed kitchen, welcoming fireplace, movies, books, games...and the perfect treehouse for spying whales or boat and bird watching. The beautiful deck, with picnic table and Adirondack chairs, offers a great space to enjoy the great view, salty air and the quaint neighborhood. We brought home some fabulous sunset pictures!

This is a very quaint cabin. It has low ceilings but it is a lovely place. You can go onto the deck and watch the sunset over the Three Arch Rocks. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking, minus the food of course. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Girls Getaway

We were looking for a nice quiet place by the beach and Knotty Pine was the perfect choice. Everything we needed was there including wood for the fireplace. The view was fantastic and the beds were comfortable and big. Oceanside is a quiet "town" but we weren't looking for any of the usually tourist attractions. There was plenty to do even when it rained. The cabin had games, TV, movies and books. Well equipted kitchen and even a tree house to take in the sunset. They even welcomed our little dog who is part of the family as well.

What a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful cabin, very clean and well taken care of. Also fully stocked. Completely cozy on the inside, full of character. It was a great place for storm watching! Christmas on the Beach

In spite of very inclement weather, we braved the snow packed mountain roads with chains and a 4 hour drive to find our temporary home for the holidays. The beds were comfortable, supplies well stocked, views awesome, and we had a very relaxing time. We missed having internet connection, especially our cell phones and the TV would lose connection, but perhaps that helped us have a more relaxing time. In a time when it gets the coldest, the fire kept us warm. Don't forget a flashlight if you plan to arrive in the dark.

We loved this rental. The living room was quaint with a fantastic ocean view. The sleeping quarters were querky and quiet. This is a great place for kids. Not a lot of breakables withing childrens' reach and lots of toys - fun for adults who are young at heart, too.

Quiet and Relaxing

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! The views are amazing and the cabin is cozy and welcoming. The cabin is close to the beach, as well as Cape Meares and other fabulous outdoors activities. The cabin is well situated as it allowed us to hiked in the mornings and take walks on the beach in the evenings. It was a wonderful vacation and we hope to be back soon.

...we're staying here! House is nicely stocked, comfortable amenities, beautiful view from the living room. We enjoyed almost all our meals out on the open deck with an expansive view. A quiet retreat

Beautiful big windows! We had a wonderfully relaxing time and ate almost all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen and watched the sunset each night. As advertised.

We had a really great time at your cabin. It was quiet with a very decent ocean view. We felt really at home there as it was comfortable and clean and no odors! We looked at some of the history of the area type books and played a couple games from your well stocked shelves. We will definitely be back!

A Wonderful restful place

From the moment you walk through the doors you realize that you are in a special place. In a short time you can feel the cares of the world just drift away as you relax in front of the fireplace and watch the waves from the comfort of a big overstuffed chair. We really enjoyed how quaint, yet how comfortably appointed the cabin is. It really has the feeling of the old Oregon Coast but with all the modern amenities. A real gem and a real find. We will be back!

Knotty Pine Ocean View cabin was a delightful, cozy place for our month long vacation. It is well furnished with all the comforts of home and the addition of a lovely view along the coastline to the south. For one week we were 5 adults and 2 preschoolers and all fit comfortably. The living area is charming although the furniture required lots of pillows and "helps" to be luxuriously comfortable. The beds were wonderful! Rory was a delight to work with; so helpful and accommodating. The area retains the "remote" feel of the coast of 50 years ago (tourists are not swarming over everything) yet has a first class restaurant in Roseanna's. We were more than satisfied with our time at Knotty Pine and left reluctantly.
The beach house and the beach were great. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We ate most of our meals at the house. It was good to have pots big enough to cook pasta. Thanks for the great space.

The house was very nice and as you advertised. It was clean which always makes my wife happy. We had great weather and really enjoyed the deck. We like the area as it is very quiet and would stay again.

We had an enjoyable weekend at the cabin as we have had in the past. The cabin is very well stocked with supplies and plenty of wood to have wonderful fireplace fires. The beds are very comfortable. It is well supplied with first aid equipment. We had dry skin and a small burn and there were supplies to take care of us.
The tree house is a wonderful place to look at the great ocean view and relax, read, and meditate. It is a wonderful place to go and look forward to staying there again this year.

We had a wonderful time! The place was great! Weather could not have been better! The kids had a great time playing in the tree structure and with the toys! Thanks for the use of the beach toys. They really came in handy! We will definitely be back! Price was right and location was very convenient to everything. Very relaxing!

The home was nicely furnished and really had everything we needed from the wood to spices to plenty of pillows for all. We enjoyed the tree house and the deck and made several fires inside too.
cape lookout offers a great short hike which we really enjoyed as well.
