Description of the Oceanside vacation home rental

This cozy home is nestled just above Netarts Bay looking out to the Ocean! A wrap around deck allows you to sit outside and listen to the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore - or -bring out the barbeque for outdoor meals while you take in the view
!
The large windows across the front of the house allow you to enjoy those sunny days or experience the thrill of the Pacific storms that blow through in the winter season. After the storm, bundle up and walk the beach to see what treasures have washed up on shore. This area is famous for the bounty of agates that can be found!

The "Bunkroom"- Family room has several activities to offer: Pool table, Foosball Table, a snack bar, and fishermen's wet sink for the catch of the day! And to enjoy the outdoors, you can go out on the front deck and relax in the hot tub. A great place to watch the sun set over the water at dusk...and see the sky light up in red, yellow, pink and orange. You can also see the Three Arch Rocks to the north towering over the seas. This is were you can relax and listen to the sounds of the seagulls flying nearby.

BEACH Activities:
Clamming, Crabbing, Beachcombing, Exploring hidden beaches and caves
Walk along the surf from Netarts to Oceanside
Watch the Hangliders float down off the cliffs and soar over the ocean!

Sand Lake: This home is 15minutes from Sand Lake. So bring your ATV's. The pull thru driveway has room for several trailers.

Garbaldi Marina:
Charter fishing, Fresh seafood, restaurants, specialty crafts

Netarts Bay:
Fishing, clamming, and crabbing

Bay-Ocean Spit:
Drive out across the dike and park. Get out and explore this 'island' that was once the site of a
resort town in the early 1900's. If you look off the right of the island you can still see the
pilings of where the town stood.

Tillamook:
Antique Shops, Restaurants, Shopping, Tillamook Air Museum, Tillamook Cheese Factory, and Bay Breeze Golf.

Great place but understocked

June 26, 2012

This was a very beautiful place. Plenty of sleeping area, especially with the two pull out double trundles under both double bunk beds(not mentioned in the add). Everyone had a great time! We had a few frustrations though - the thermastat would not let us adjust it or the management company adjust remotely so the first night was way too hot and then the next two nights were very cold. Also, the place only had two wash cloths and no dish cloths. The last day we were there we ran out of toilet paper. Knowing that there could be so many people staying there it should be better stocked. I neeed to mention though that when I contacted Heather she was very pleasant and tried her best to find solutions for us. We would deffinately stay there again. We would just bring more of our own supplies.

We enjoyed the home with all it's wonderfull amenities. We came with more stuff than needed. Karon & Terry provided just about everything we could ever want. It felt like home except w/o the work and schedule. We will definately plan a vacation next year to this home. Thank you. Kathy B.

Great Location

Great, quiet location. Close to Oceanside Beach access and other area attractions. The house has an older feel but was comfortable and well stocked with all of the needed kitchen gadgets. There is a stair case/trail that leads to the road below that is then a short walk to the beach. The trail however is not child friendly and we decided it was easier to drive to the beach access each time we went rather than attempt the steep trail. Overall great stay and would consider this rental for future beach trips.

The view of the ocean is great on a rainy day. The walk down the hill is a bit steep, but it is worth the effort. The house is comfortable and good for a group.

An older home with older furnishings in nice neighborhorhood, with touches of the artistic owner all around...paintings & artwork of the area, agates collected from short beach, books. Smells were a bit musty, but homey feel with fireplace and roomy living room. Cell phone reception 1/2 block to top of hill, cozy fireplace.

Not bad

The sandpiper wasn't a bad house for the price. The view was a little obstructed by trees that could use topping. The house was large and clean with good open living space. The beds however were not comfortable and the house needed a few essentials (dishwasher soap, shampoo, kleenex). It was certainly walkable to the beach and a quiet neighborhood for sleeping or enjoying the sunset on the porch.
