Dirty, Outdated, and Poorly Equipped

March 3, 2013

Although the owner knew 4 people were arriving, there were only 3 plates, 3 knives, 3 forks, not enough towels and no bedding for the sofa beds. One set of bed springs were touching the floor. That was replaced at the end of the second week. The kitchen was poorly equipped with no sharp knife, no teaspoons, no cutting board, no colander, no glass glasses of any kind, no cork screw, a metal flipper for non stick pots and no other cooking utensils, no serving spoons, no salad or serving bowl, and not a single dish of any kind to be used in the oven. When we complained, he brought us a filthy yellowed and well used cutting board that we sent back to him, and a huge stainless steel pot that was good for nothing. He did buy us a new electric can opener and a cork crew. He said he no longer provided beach towels even though they were advertised as being there. He sent us some that had been well used over the years. They were spit through thin, misshapen and had little kids faded patterns on them. Finally he bought a few small towels, but they came back linty when we allowed them to go to the laundry. The stove which was grease encrusted and filthy, had only 2 working burners and one of those only worked on high. We were told that was all we needed. Eventually two more were added but one smoked so bad we couldn't use it. There were no dresser drawers to put clothes away, and no hangars until we asked for them. We lived out of suitcases for a month. The lighting in the condo was very poor. Bulbs were missing in the kitchen, bedroom and dining room, and the covers were so dirty light could barely penetrate them anyway. When we said we couldn't see to prepare a meal he did add some more bulbs, but they only worked part of the time, and the covers were never cleaned or put back on. The linens were disgusting. Sheets and towels were badly stained. Fitted sheets were way too big for twin beds and had to be folded under. Top sheets were too big and some had been cut in half to try to make them fit. Some had holes in them. All linens arrived from the laundry covered in white lint, and when we climbed out of bed we were covered in lint. The condo was in poor repair and extremely dated. We could have endured dated, but the filth was bad. The house keeper used the garbage pail to wash the floor. The bathroom tiles were mildewed. The ceiling had obvious water damage in the living room and the bathroom. The only good thing about this condo is the location.

Excellent location right downtown in Ochi on a private beach. Very large and deep pool. Short stroll to the shops and eateries. The condo was very clean with good AC and wifi. Will definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Turtle Beach Towers was wonderful! This Resort was very well priced, and the people were very friendly and always helpful. We loved that we were so close to everything. The pool was very big and clean, we travel with 3 children so this is very important to us. Our room had a kitchen, which was wonderful with kids. We met the manager on the first night, George was very kind and was very quick to get us anything we needed. I really felt very VIP at this resort. Outside was a play area for the kids, they loved it! We definitely will stay at Turtle Beach Towers again! It was also very nice that they have a laundry room, so when I got home my laundry was clean!!!!! Yeah!!!

Overall a Good place to stay..We had breakfast in the Kitchen cooked and freshly done. Rooms were decent size. Enough privacy even with 2 kids with us. Had a wonderful time. Will visit again soon.

Wish it had a Bar cum Restaurant .. But it was anyway all next door nearby.
