Area Information

Ogunquit, Maine is a beautiful seaside community in Southern
Maine. Approximately 20 minutes north of Portsmouth, N.H., an hour and 15 minutes north of Boston.

Known for its history as an artist colony, it still has many art galleries and interesting boutiques. It also has an active Cove where lobstering boats, and whale-watch cruises are offered.

Ogunquit offers great live theatre at the Historic Ogunquit Playhouse, where it presents "Broadway at the Beach", bringing in stars from New York and Hollywood.

The famous Marginal Way is a mile-long path at the edge of the sea which joins the Downtown with Perkins Cove. There is also a fabulous 3-mile sandy beach, which has been chosen as one of the best beaches on the New England coast.

Ogunquit get a way

Donna met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the place. The unit was clean, well stocked with dishes and kitchen items. The sleeping arrangements were good. We had enough towels in the bathroom. The location was quiet and away from the crowds, yet a close walk to the Marginal Way and the center of town. We would definately stay again.

Very nice hosts and a great spot near the beach

The pictures of the apartment don't do it justice. It's very clean, the kitchen has a lot of stuff (not like home, but you can get along really nicely), and the place is big for a one-bedroom. 10 minutes walk and you're at the beach (and not the big one, but small ones along the marginal way, much smaller -- great for families with small children). The water is cold, though! We loved it and wouldn't hesitate to rent this very apartment again.
