Description of the Ogunquit vacation cottage rental
Thoroughly remodeled bedroom & bathroom in 2010, including all new bathroom appliances/walls/floor, the addition of a cathedral ceiling & fan to the bedroom, and a complete refresh painting of the entire cottage's interior.
This place is in GREAT shape !
Wireless internet now provided free of charge !!!! Great range also out by the pool or on the front deck.
Fully applianced kitchen equipped with full-size refrigerator, full-size stove/oven, microwave oven, coffee maker, blender, food processor, toaster, dishes, all glasses, tupperwave, cookware, pots, pans, and utensils.
Beachplum Cottage is set well back from the road (approx 100 feet), but with a trolley stop just 1 min from the front door, for easy access to town, shops, beach, Marginal Way and Perkins Cove.
Plenty of outside seating & picnic table under the pines, and a gas grill for your use.
Swimming Pool just steps from your door, shared with only the 8 other units in our very small association.
Perfect as a home-base for antiquing, or day trips to nearby Portland and Portsmouth, or for just relaxing and going for a peaceful walk to the beach or into town.
Carefully decorated with personalized artwork and quality furnishings to suit the 2nd home that it truly is.
Livingroom also has cathedral ceiling. Large dining area. A/C, Cable TV, CD, DVD, Large DVD movie collection (approx 160 titles).
Located short walk from Ogunquit's spectacular beach, town center, shops and variety of great restaurants.
Beautiful fireplace for cozy, romantic nights by the fire, especially for those cooler evenings or seasons.
Comfortably sleeps 4. Please bring your own sheets & towels.
Park the car and leave it for the length of your visit !
Area Information
With such a prime location you can opp to do everything on foot. You can walk into town and to a wide variety of Ogunquit's great selection of restaurant's and shops.
You can also easily walk to the beach, either going south to the Main beach access through town center, or going north and across the so-quaint wooden bridge to Footbridge Beach.
The cottage is set in a very quiet location, not facing directly out onto Rte 1 (Main St), so you don't look out onto traffic.
For the last 5 years tenants have really loved this place, and we have many return tenants each year.
Most importantly, this is a 2nd home for us, and we've taken great care to have it feel like a true home, not at all like a basic summer cottage rental.

It was a clean and well decorated cottage. The location was great. It was cozy and best suited for a couple or at most a couple with one or two small children. As a couple we liked it very much. Excellent location and value for the rates charged. We would return.

Fantastic little getaway!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for three days in early September. The unit is part of a small group set back off of Rte. 1. Very clean, quiet, and perfect for a short stay. It's in a great spot for walking to nearby restaurants, and is about a 15 minute walk from Footbridge Beach. The host/owner was very helpful & a joy to speak to. Would definitely return to if our travels take us back to Ogunquit!

We had a very peaceful and relaxed stay at this cottage, close enough to Ogunquit to take the troley and arrive to Main Str. or to Perkins Cove. We would had liked more sunlight coming into our rome and a bigger, more recent bathroom. The place was very clean and the owner very polite. We came back relaxed and glad to enojy the freindly people of Maine.
Owner's reply:
The cottage's bathroom was 100% gutted and remodeled in the Spring of 2010, including all new appliances, new walls, new floor, new paint.

Trip to remember

My wife, her parents, and I spent a week here in mid June. What a great trip! The cottage was well equiped, clean and very quaint. We liked that it was close to town, the beaches and that one of the best lobster resturants in the area was right next door! Grant, the owner, was very accomadating, and, in fact, drove up from Mass. to install the AC unit when the temp was forecasted to became unusually warm. The town of Ogunquit was absolutley beautiful, more so than we imagined. We highly reccomend this cottage!

This cottage was the perfect getaway for two! Close to the ocean, and Portsmouth. It had everything we needed, and we even played a game of Scrabble when the weather kept us inside for a bit! Grant was awesome!! We would definately return, and highly recommend!

We stayed at Beach Plum cottage for two nights in April and found it suited our needs perfectly. The location was great, the fire cosy and everything (including the bed) was very comfortable. The owner was very easy to interact with and not at all phased by our last-minute reservation. We'd definitely recommend this cottage and hope to visit again someday!

We spent a girls weekend at Beach Plum cottage and had an amazing time. It is so close to town and such a charming location. We appreciated the fact that the cottage was fully stocked and much more comfy than a boring hotel room. We loved the decor and the fireplace and all the sweet little touches. We were looking for a place, other than a hotel room, to spend Thanksgiving week near our son who is in the Navy. I initially looked into this property because you couldn't beat the price. I had no idea of the character of the city of Ogunquit. We found Marginal Way on our last day. It is a paved path along the ocean with sights one from the midwest can only imagine. Our visit was in a season when I am sure there are a lot less visitors. Many businesses were closed down for the season, but there were just as many still open for business and we really enjoyed the seafood restaurants. The fireplace made the weather more bearable. We hope to return when the weather is warmer and thank the Blooms for their generosity!

Our stay at Beach Plum Cottage was great. The cottage looked wonderful and everything was so clean. The supermarket, restaurants and beach were very easy to find. The fireplace and DVD selection were probably our favorite part. The fireplace was so warm and easy to use. We will definitely come back in the future.

My husband and I stayed at the cottage for our honeymoon and we loved the place! The only set-back was that sheets for the bed and bath towels were not provided which we were unaware of. Other than that... we would return without hesitation.

Wonderfully quiet

Great time of year with wonderful weather. With summer over and the town not so crowed, it was great to enjoy its quaintness. The cabin was just right, although we did need to purchase linens. Just a short walk to the center of town and the beach, as well as centrally located to some lovely restaurants, our stay was just great. I highly recommend.
