Description of the Ojochal vacation home rental

Our house is fully furnished with two bedrooms,(south bedroom has two beds),two bathrooms, large greatroom and kitchen. The large front porch which faces west has wonderful views of the ocean, valleys and mountains. Just a few feet away is the inground pool. Off the pool is the bodega which houses the clothes washer only, no cloths dryer. A second refrigerator and pool filter. Our house is situated on a "dead end" road. Therefore traffic is limited.

Area Description

Ojochal is located on the Southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica,about 30 kilometers (20 miles) South of Dominical and 20 kilometers North of Palmar Norte. Driving to Ojochal takes about 4.5 hours whether you take the Coastal route or Pa Am Highway. Both ways are very scenic. Another option is to fly from San Jose to Palmar Sur and drive north about 20 minutes. In Ojochal you can find most everything you need, but most foreigners who live there go to Palmar Norte or Cortez. Both towns offer banks and large supermarkets with reasonably priced goods. Ojochal itself offers a decent supermarket, hardware store, liquor store and a very good selection of restaurants. ATTRACTIONS... The mountains reach almost all the way to the
Pacific Ocean in Ojochal, which makes for truly spectacular ocean views from many sites. The beaches just north Ojochal, are amongst the most beautiful in the Southern Zone. The mountains for the most part are still primary growth. Flora and fauna abound.

Required Stay: Three nights minimum
Deposits: We require a 50% deposit to secure your reservation.
Other Fees: A security deposit of $150.00 is required upon arrival and will be refunded back to you at time of departure, if no damages have occurred.

Wonderful Home/Great Views, January 15, 2009

Our family of 4 spent Christmas in Ojochal and had a wonderful time. The house was great, the pool was great, and the views were spectacular. We woke to the sounds of the howler monkeys and the flight of the toucans each morning. The children enjoyed the pool and relaxing scenery so much they did not even want to take day trips. I highly recommend renting this house and we hope to rent again in 2009.

Wonderful Villa, August 30, 2008

We rented this villa in August 2008 for a week. The villa is located at the end of a road providing lots of opportunities for wildlife viewing as well as fantastic ocean sunsets. The two bedrooms were very comfortable and would be ideal for 2 couples or a family. The kitchen was well equipped and the living area opened unto a terrace. The pool and landscaping was wonderful. We'll be back next year and hopefully forever very soon. Thanks Wayne and Karen!
