Reviews for this vacation home rental in Okemo, Vermont
August 29, 2014
The house suited our every need. Like most have posted the property is situated very close to many attractions. Lake Pauline is beautiful, nights with campfires under the stars. Fishing, feeding the very friendly ducks and kayaking was much needed. Ursula was extremely helpful and the ability to be able to bring our 2 dogs was perfect. For a very good night out we enjoyed the Downtown Grocery on Depot Street which was a very impressive restaurant. The Back Behind Saloon for great BBQ was also very good. The hiking in the area was easy to get to and kept our dogs very happy. We will be back. Thanks Ursala

A relaxing getaway

We had a great time at Ursula's home. It was clean and comfortable. She was a pleasure to work with. The children kept so busy with boating and swimming they forgot all about their computers ! The area is beautiful and the shopping was great. The Hugging Bear Shop in Chester is a must see. We would rent this home again and encourage you to book your vacation now.

This is a wonderful house in a perfect location at the edge of Lake Pauline. Everything you need for a peaceful, beautiful vacation. Ursula is a delightful owner to work with...honest and thoughtful. The house is equipped with all the pots, pans, dishes, and comfy furniture you could want, plus a ping pong table, a small rowboat and a canoe for a dreamy ride along the lake. Two miles down the road is Ludlow with a well stocked supermarket for staples, and many farm stands in the area for the freshest stuff on earth! Thanks, Ursula!

A great time was had by all on our recent Gentlemen's weekend! Ursula (property owner) was extremely helpful and well organized. She had many great suggestions and the ones we chose were right on the money (I suggest a stop at the Long Trail Brewery, real good food and some great beers). Leading up to our trip Ursula was always available and answered all questions immediately. The property was equipped with everything you need (linens, pillows, lawn chairs, grill, cookware, etc..)for a worry free trip. We had a nice choice of golf courses, multiple lakes connected together to make for a great ride in the canoe and some very nice places to jump in for a swim. Overall I couldn't have asked for anything more... except vacation time!

Lake Pauline, Okemo, Vermont
August 6, 2009
"First of all, owner Ursula Middel was a delight to work with - honest, efficient and prompt in her responses. Her home is modern, sunny and well-appointed and has all necessary amenities. Lake Pauline (pictured) is much larger than it appears in the picture and is connected by the Black River with two other, larger lakes. The small, circular dam between Lake Pauline and the adjoining Lake Rescue is quite interesting, if not unique. The surrounding southern Vermont countryside, including Green Mountain National Forest is quite beautiful. Calvin Coolidge's Homestead in nearby Plymouth did not seem like a very interesting prospect to all of us initially, but we soon all found ourselves entranced by the trip back in time to Nineteenth Century Vermont that it affords, and in the end we regretted that we had to leave. There are many good restaurants in neighboring Ludlow."

This was a best vacation ever!! No mosquitoes, no any noses, fast internet. Calm evenings ashore lake around campfire has done these days simply unforgettable.
