This private cottage rests on 2.8 heavily wooded beachfront acres. A natural beach and wooden dock help set the stage for you to leave the rest of the world behind.
A small gated community with dirt roads and private homes; Old Mastic is a throwback to days long gone with nature, privacy and seclusion.
As you come upon the cottage, you smell the sweet scent of lilac in the springtime. You see flowers, the greenest leaves, and finally panoramic views of the Great South Bay. Beautiful birds and waterfowl are in abundance.
The cedar shingled cottage is hardly seen from the water allowing for tremendous privacy for a waterfront home. The views from the house are both forest and water. As you walk around the house, you come to the screened porch overlooking the bird bath and the beach with fire island in the distance. Sit here, listen to the faint song of the wind chimes and relax at last. Walk around to the terrace which overlooks the beach and the dock with room for 2 boats (drawing up to 3 feet).

The definition of Serenity!

This "estate" is truly amazing. Perfect for that truly private getaway. Excellent for writers, naturists, photographers (like myself), or someone who would like to escape the public eye for a summer. I rented during the summer of 2004, and if work allowed me, I would return for 05'. The beach is great for a fire at night, or a paddleboat during the day.
